Job Description

As a Senior Technology Product Manager for the Cloud Infrastructure team at Wolters Kluwer, you will lead the full product lifecycle, from design to build and run, contributing to product design, feature development, and strategic planning. Your primary focus will be ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the cloud infrastructure platform, enabling engineering teams to deliver exceptional services. You will develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps, conduct market research, monitor platform performance, and act as the main stakeholder contact, all while promoting DevOps culture and Agile practices.
Must have:
  • Lead the full product lifecycle from design to build and run.
  • Contribute to product design, feature development, and strategic planning.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the cloud infrastructure platform.
  • Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct in-depth market and user research.
  • Monitor platform performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, communicating progress and risks.
  • Define and document product requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with design, development, engineering, operations, and customer success teams.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies.
  • Support incident management and post-mortem analysis.
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager in cloud infrastructure or DevOps contexts.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Istio).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, observability, automation, and security best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and use data to make informed decisions.
  • Basic proficiency in design principles and user experience.
  • Ability to manage tasks and milestones using PM tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English.
Good to have:
  • Understanding of network security and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Experience applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.

About the Role:

As Senior Technology Product Manager for a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure team you will lead the full product lifecycle, from design to build and run. You will play a key role in contributing to product design, feature development, and strategic planning. Your input will be valuable in ensuring our products meet market needs and customer expectations. Your focus will be to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the platform’s cloud infrastructure while enabling the engineering teams to deliver exceptional services to our customers. You will grow your career within our product department, helping to design and deliver a sleek, dependable, and scalable cloud solution. Depending on your experience level, you’ll also play a key role in promoting DevOps culture and best practices across our teams. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps for the cloud infrastructure platform, aligning with business goals and customer need.
  • Conduct in-depth market and user research to inform product features.
  • Monitor platform performance and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decisions and stakeholder feedback.
  • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, effectively communicating progress, risk, and technical concepts in an accessible way.
  • Monitor product performance and suggest improvements.
  • Define and document product requirements and specifications. Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, API specifications, and release notes.
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure product alignment.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success teams to gather requirements, prioritize the backlog, and deliver value incrementally.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.
  • Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives), ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Ensure the Cloud platform’s scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support incident management and post-mortem analysis to improve platform resilience.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager, ideally in cloud infrastructure or DevOps contexts.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and the ability to lead Agile ceremonies.
  • Hands-on Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Istio).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, observability, automation, and security best practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, capable of managing competing priorities.
  • Ability in interpreting and using data to make informed decisions.
  • Basic proficiency in design principles and user experience.
  • Ability to manage tasks and milestones using PM tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical requirements and constraints.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Team player attitude, enthusiasm, proactivity, and autonomy.
  • Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English.

It is better if you also have knowledge of the following:

  • Understanding of network security and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud strategies.
  • Experience applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
