Job Summary:
The Cubic Abu Dhabi Branch Office will lead the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) element of the provision of two simulation training centers in the United Arab Emirates. The Simulation Support Team (SST) will consist of one Team Leader/System Manager, one Deputy Team Leader/System Manager and two Simulation Technicians. The team will support the two centers as directed by the team lead. The Team will support two centers which are both located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the Team Leader for the Cubic Simulation Support Team.
- Design and configure the Hardware and Software to meet the training requirement of the user.
- Design and construct realistic training scenarios and exercises to simulate real-world battlefield operations as they relate to Joint Fires and/or ISTAR.
- Set up and operate various audiovisual equipment to enhance the realism of simulations.
- Responsible for system initialization, calibration, and set up or reset.
- Brief and advise the planners and users on the capabilities of the hardware and software, planning constraints and operational criteria of the facility.
- Provide technical support and maintenance of simulation systems during exercises and courses.
- Monitor and analyze data collected during simulations to inform future training objectives.
- Support the development of after-action reviews.
- Assist in the establishment and pack-up of fixed location and deployable facilities.
- Assist with preventative maintenance for the system.
- Assist in system stocktaking and audits as directed.
- Conduct operator level function checking of equipment assigned for use on training exercises.
- Conduct minor operator level maintenance of equipment.
- Raise non-technical inspection reports to commence the maintenance process for damaged equipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment and workstations used for exercise support.
- Assist with the issue and receipt process for training equipment..
- Support the UAE’s Emiratization Program.
- Support the development of an information library.
- Develop materials for military personnel on how best to use simulation software and hardware.
- Develop technical documents describing the functionality of simulation systems and software.
- Create and maintain standard naming conventions.
- Save and store all data for reuse and scrutiny as needed.
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time to time, as may be reasonably required by them.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
- Experience of operating in a small team environment.
- Experience in delivering simulation training and exercises.
- Experience in Joint Fires and/or ISTAR.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues.
- Driving License.
Desirable:
- Experience of living and working in the Middle East
- Prior military experience and leadership training.
- Expertise in simulation systems and software.
- Experience in managing stores, maintenance, or logistics.
- Experience in a similar role.
Education and qualifications
Essential:
- Military Instructor Qualification
Desirable:
- Management Qualification.
