The Snowflake Developer designs and develops technical solutions to support business priorities and drive a data-driven culture. This role supports the Data Operational Resilience Technology team, delivering analytics capabilities using Snowflake cloud data warehouse. It requires deep understanding of data warehousing principles, cloud architecture, and modern data engineering practices, focusing on optimizing data storage and ensuring data quality. The role involves both run and change activities within a fast-paced, distributed Agile team, building a single source of truth data warehouse.
Must have:
  • Design and develop technical solutions for business priorities.
  • Deliver analytics capabilities using Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
  • Optimize data storage and ensure data quality in Snowflake.
  • Develop a single source of truth data warehouse.
  • Implement SAD approved capabilities into Corporate Data Cloud.
  • Ensure work conforms to security, infrastructure, and product requirements.
  • Maintain system documentation.
  • Debug and fix existing SQL Scripts in Snowflake.
  • Work with Relational/Dimensional data models and build data marts.
  • Possess knowledge of AWS/Azure services for Data Engineering.
  • Experience in SQL with structured and semi-structured data.
  • Develop ETL/ELT Pipelines.
  • Experience with Python (Snowpark, Pandas, API).
  • Work as part of an Agile scrum team.

Job Details

The Snowflake Developer is passionate about the designing and developing technical solutions to support business priorities and drive a data driven culture.

This role involves supporting the Data Operational Resilience Technology team in delivering best of breed analytics capabilities using Snowflake cloud data warehouse. Working closely with a hardworking team of Solution Designers, Product Owners, and customers to deliver outstanding Data Warehouse capabilities.

This role requires a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, cloud architecture, and modern data engineering practices.

Your expertise in Snowflake will be crucial in optimizing data storage, ensuring data quality.

The focus in supporting and developing a single source of truth data warehouse that enables analytics, customer engagement, compliance, Marketing, and a broad variety of other use cases. The role is a blend of run and change activities in a fast paced, distributed team looking after exciting challenges every single day. As a team we:

  • Understand context of data sets that enable analytics.
  • Design, develop and implement SAD approved capability using agreed tooling and techniques into Corporate Data Cloud.
  • Ensure all work you're doing conform to security, infrastructure, product and other internal requirements
  • Maintain system documentation in conformance with requirements Become Snowflake and data subject authority, capable of explaining our product suite and engaging with wide audience.
  • Deliver solutions using preferred integration pattens
  • Identify and promote standard practice
  • Steer, guide and assist disparate teams seeking integrations
  • Input into evolving policies and standards
  • Ensure that all processes and documentation are adequate and effective to meet support and audit requirements
  • Provide frequent status reporting to Customers
  • Work on projects, improvements and incident management.
  • Work as part of an Agile scrum team, collaborating closely with business customers, Technology Product Owner, Solution Architects and Scrum Master.
  • Address, debugging, and fixing the existing SQL Scripts in Snowflake.
  • Have good exposure working on Relational/Dimensional data models. Building data marts
  • Knowledge on AWS/Azure services needed for Data Engineering.
  • Good Experience in SQL having experience working with structured and semi structured data (XML and JSON) and developing ETL/ELT Pipelines in and out of data warehouse.
  • Good to have experience in Building or working with CI/CD Pipelines(Gitlab, Jenkins, Terraform).
  • Have working experience on Python(Snowpark and Pandas and API).
