Mistplay is looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Associate to support our social media presence across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. In this role, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping us ideate, create, and publish engaging content that speaks directly to our growing community of mobile gamers.
This is a great opportunity for someone who lives and breathes internet culture, understands platform trends, and enjoys experimenting with content that blends entertainment, gaming, and lifestyle. You’ll be part of a growing team that’s building the Mistplay brand across social.
What You’ll Do
- Create engaging social content (short-form videos, carousels, memes, captions, etc.) for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts that aligns with Mistplay’s voice and brand.
- Stay on top of trends across platforms and help translate them into timely and relevant content ideas.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to create the content calendar, brainstorm creative directions, and meet weekly posting goals.
- Create and edit short-form videos using in-app tools or simple editing software— requirement for being comfortable being on camera and directing UGC-style content.
- Help manage community engagement by responding to comments and helping identify opportunities to build conversation and buzz.
- Track content performance weekly, monthly, and quarterly for improvement and iteration.
- Maintain consistent brand style and messaging across all platforms, while still tailoring content to each channel’s unique vibe.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in social media content creation, preferably in consumer apps, lifestyle, gaming, or entertainment.
- Deep knowledge of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts—including trends, algorithms, and audience behavior.
- Strong creative instincts with a portfolio of video or visual content you’ve produced (even personal projects count!).
- Familiarity with editing tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar.
- Excellent written communication and a sharp sense of humor, wit, or voice.
- A collaborative, self-starter mindset—you’re comfortable working independently and juggling multiple content pieces at once.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with or managing user-generated content (UGC).
- Interest in mobile gaming or past experience creating content in the gaming space.
- Previous viral wins you can share!
