The opportunity

As a backend developer on Unity's In-App Purchasing (IAP) team, you'll help creators comfortably monetize their games. Our team builds intuitive, robust solutions to support developers regardless of their project's scale. You'll deliver reliable, cross-platform APIs while designing developer-centric solutions that address complicated workflows and integrations. Given that Unity powers over 50% of games worldwide, your efforts will drive fundamental change in how creators succeed in a rapidly changing market. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a high-visibility, rapidly expanding product area.

What you'll be doing

• Work with the team on building, scaling and supporting a brand backend services to power Unity In-App Purchasing solutions
• Collaborate across the wider LiveOps team to ensure new services stay coherent with the existing platform
• Interact directly with game development studios of all sizes to understand how we can build the best solutions for them
• Work with external industry partners to build integrations making monetization solution more accessible to Unity developers

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in Golang
• Experience managing containerized workloads on GCP
• Experience scaling cloud services for high demand and availability
• Functional understanding of unit testing concepts
• Able to participate in the team's on-call support rotation

You might also have

• Interest in live service games monetization
• Experience working in React
• Comfortable with Github’s CICD tooling
• Experience in mobile development
• Experience with Unity Editor
