We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 2 in Austin, TX

Job Duties: Build performance efficient, highly scalable, configurable, and available software applications and systems. Write high proficient software code for iOS using Swift and Objective-C language. Demonstrate high proficiency in using iOS APls to handle offline storage, threading, and caching. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications. Design, develop, and test high throughput back-end software systems. Develop object-oriented software and design, code, and test complex software features. Develop software code and help lead code review sessions. Develop and test high-quality product features spanning multiple product domains and integration with REST APIs. Work with engineering managers, architects, engineers & QA to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles. Identify areas of technical improvement and make detailed business cases for improvements or new areas of opportunities. Ensure all software development deliverables adhere to the timelines, quality, and performance. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
