Job Description

This Software Engineer role focuses on data residency, monitoring, and compliance within Google's infrastructure. Responsibilities include writing and maintaining code for product development, contributing to documentation, debugging system issues, managing batch processing pipelines, implementing new monitoring solutions for Cloud and TI resources, and ensuring continuous compliance monitoring. The ideal candidate possesses strong software development skills (2+ years experience), data structures and algorithms expertise, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience with Google infrastructure, data analysis, and cloud compliance is preferred. The role requires managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, encompassing the full software development lifecycle.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years software development experience
  • 2+ years experience with data structures/algorithms
  • Manage batch processing pipelines
  • Work on continuous compliance monitoring
Good to have:
  • Master's/PhD in Computer Science
  • Google infrastructure experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • Experience in Google infrastructure, data analysis and cloud compliance.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate technical and statistical concepts clearly and concisely among audiences at many different levels.
  • Excellent problem-framing, problem-solving and analytical skills and data intuitions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Manage batch processing pipelines and services and new monitoring solutions for Cloud and TI resources.
  • Work on continuous compliance monitoring.
