Join the Tandem Connect team at Autodesk as a Software Engineer to work in a startup environment on a new, world-leading integration platform. This role involves developing integration technology and solutions to transform how buildings are designed, built, and operated. We are seeking an engineer with experience in developing interfaces for integrations.
Must have:
  • Design and develop plugins for platform integration.
  • Maintain reliable, secure, and performant services.
  • Improve team processes and deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance.
  • 2+ years experience in computer science or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with application development and unit tests.
  • Experience with unit, end-to-end, and test-driven development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript with Node.js.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps.
  • Experience with GIT or similar version control.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and Jenkins.
  • Detail-oriented approach to secure, stable software.
Good to have:
  • Experience developing in containerized environments (such as docker).
  • Experience with associated tools such as Postman, IDEs (e.g. Visual Studio Code).
  • Experience with integration-Platform-as-a-Service (iPaaS) offerings.
  • Experience using Linux and an understanding of networking concepts.
  • Experience with other interface types (GraphQL, MQTT etc).
  • Experience with Agile development practices such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • In depth understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Experience using REST APIs.

Position Overview

Working with the Tandem team, our mission is to create integration technology and solutions that will transform how buildings are designed, built, and operated.

We are seeking a Software Engineer who has experience developing interfaces to integrations to join our team today.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of “plugins” for the platform that are used for integrating with external systems.
  • Involved with all aspects of software development, working to create and maintain the most reliable, secure and performant service for our customers.
  • Contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team in responding to customer and business needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and constructive feedback to leadership, team members and other stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in computer science, related technology field, or equivalent experience with 2+ years experience
  • You have hands-on experience with development and maintenance of applications and unit tests to a high quality
  • Unit testing, end-to-end testing, and test-driven development experience
  • Experience with JavaScript in Node.js
  • Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps
  • Experience with GIT or equivalent version control system
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and a deployment pipeline such as Jenkins.
  • Detail oriented approach to building secure, stable, software
