Job Description

The Senior Corporate Financial Planning Analyst at Disney will play a crucial role in the Corporate Consolidations team, impacting financial planning up to the leadership and board level. Responsibilities include consolidating quarterly, annual, and five-year forecasts; performing ad-hoc analytics; preparing presentations for executives; supporting segment finance teams; evaluating long-term plans; analyzing cash flow and business cases for capital projects; and demonstrating leadership within a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, experience with financial modeling and forecasting, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of Disney’s Corporate Consolidations team and help empower leaders to make the best possible decisions. Focus your strong communication skills on interpreting data and designing reports and presentations so the numbers come alive. Join us at Disney!

You’ll join a dynamic team of financial planners and analysts whose job is to work directly with department leaders, both at Corporate and across the Disney businesses, providing insight across the Company.

In this unique role on our team, you will be supporting the Corporate consolidation efforts and gain exposure and an understanding of the business drivers for all Corporate functional departments.  This is a great opportunity to demonstrate project management skills and leadership within the team. We are looking for you to leverage your finance foundation to drive the collection, analysis and presentation of Corporate performance to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

Every single day as a Senior Financial Analyst is different! On any one day you might:

  • Work with Corporate’s FP&A team to consolidate quarterly, annual, and five-year forecasts
  • Perform ad hoc analytics as requested by the department stakeholders
  • Prepare dynamic messages for different audiences including corporate management and other high-level executives
  • Support/engage segment finance teams to understand Corporate overhead allocations
  • Evaluate the Company’s long-term plan, including valuation analysis of Corporate’s performance
  • Analyze cash flow forecasts and business cases for major capital projects
  • Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Showcase your leadership and confidence on a large team

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of prior work experience preferred
  • Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Developed effective business and financial discernment
  • A highly professional "client service orientation"
  • Experience as a reciprocal teammate who possesses social and organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written settings
  • Flexibility to work with different personalities -- we believe that makes our team special
  • Produced detailed work without data errors
  • Sharp presentation and storytelling skills, and the ability to exercise critical thinking
  • A versatile "special-projects" orientation coupled with confirmed multi-tasking abilities
  • An inherent curiosity driving you to ask the right questions
  • Experience working in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in the media and entertainment industry is a plus, but is not required
  • Experience developing presentations on a company’s financial performance
  • Analyzed business trends

Required Education:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $103,500 to $126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
