Job Description

The Sr. Project Manager will lead the implementation of Mobile Video solutions, acting as the primary leader and focal point for assigned projects. This role involves developing detailed project plans, managing timelines and resources, and establishing clear goals. The Project Manager is responsible for delivering contractual scope on schedule and within budget, ensuring customer satisfaction. Key duties include identifying and mitigating risks, developing corrective action plans, and utilizing various project management tools. The role requires direct communication with customer organizations and senior stakeholders, conducting project reviews, and managing the overall pre-tax profit of projects. This position is remote within the Eastern US and requires 50-75% travel.
Must have:
  • Responsible for delivering the contractual scope, on schedule and within budget, while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize PM tools (schedule, critical path analysis, budget, change order, risk assessment, action item log, etc) to analyze complex issues and develop resolutions.
  • Allocate all necessary resources to meet project objectives, corporate financial, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Direct communication to customer’s organization and relevant senior stakeholders internally by conducting project reviews.
  • Responsible for the overall pre-tax profit of all projects.
  • Lead large projects by developing detailed project plans, managing timelines and resources, and establishing clear goals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Demonstrate awareness of all nine areas of PMBOK project management, PRINCE2, or applicable PM standard with a firm understanding of two.
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of the project.
Good to have:
  • 5+ years of Project/Program Management
  • Strong presentation and negotiating skills
  • Familiarity with Public Safety communications systems, software solutions or mobile video solutions
  • Mobile video technology to include required wireless/LTE infrastructure, policy/procedures for retention/redaction/chain of custody, evidence management software and workflow a plus
  • Self motivated and team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.

The Travel Requirement for this role is 50%-75%.

Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the implementation of Mobile Video solutions and will act and be recognized as the leader / focal point for all aspects of assigned project(s). Responsible for delivering the contractual scope, on schedule and within budget, while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Must be able to utilize PM tools (schedule, critical path analysis, budget, change order, risk assessment, action item log, etc) to analyze complex issues and develop resolutions for any issues related to assigned project(s). The PM is responsible for allocating all necessary resources to meet project objectives, corporate financial, and customer satisfaction goals. The project manager is responsible for direct communication to customer’s organization and relevant senior stakeholders internally by conducting project reviews throughout the life of the project. In addition, the project manager is responsible for the overall pre-tax profit of all projects.

Responsibilities:

This position is a remote position, however, due to travel requirements, candidates should be located in the Eastern region of the United States.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers

Target Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $107,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certification: PMP
  • 3+ years of Project/Program Management
  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position
