Structural Design Engineer - Tower

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Telecom Infrastructure team. You will be responsible for the structural design, assessment, and documentation of various telecommunications structures, including steel lattice towers, monopoles, rooftops, and antenna mounts, following both Indian and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural design and assessment of telecommunications structures, including:

  • Steel lattice towers

  • Steel and concrete monopoles

  • Rooftop poles and antenna mounts

• Prepare structural modeling and design documentation using appropriate tools and codes.

• Review and certify design upgrades for telecom infrastructure.

• Prepare site-specific design enhancement reports and calculations.

• Identify and mitigate design risks by analyzing site survey inputs and developing safe design documentation (risk assessments and risk registers).

• Prepare CAD drafts to meet design objectives and coordinate with CAD drafters for detailed drawings.

• Liaise with Project Engineers to complete working drawings and conduct site inspections and feasibility studies.

• Deliver design solutions that meet client briefs, project timelines, and technical requirements.

• Communicate with client representatives to provide project status updates and support project coordination and expectations.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).

• 2 to 5 years of experience in structural or telecommunications engineering.

• Experience in mobile base station site design and antenna mounting support structures is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Working knowledge of telecom design software:

  • RISA

  • TNX Tower

  • MStower

  • iTowersMW (preferred)

• Strong foundation in structural engineering principles.

• Familiarity with Indian and American design codes and standards.

• Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and engineering design tools.

• Ability to prepare detailed engineering drawings and documentation.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective team player with good interpersonal skills.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

• Strong written and verbal communication in English (mandatory).

• Ability to manage client interactions, present technical information clearly, and build lasting client relationships.
