AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Los Angeles, California, for Structural Engineering opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. Interviews will follow for college students majoring in Civil Engineering, graduating in December 2025 or Spring 2026. Responsibilities include building analytic and design skills, conducting engineering design, creating drawings and calculations, collecting data, and using computer software under supervision.
Good To Have:
  • Experience or knowledge of structural designs or projects.
  • Knowledge and experience using CADD and industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation).
  • Ability to balance various project and company responsibilities and deadlines, while maintaining professionalism and quality.
  • Adaptable and flexible, showing a willingness and ability to take on new projects or areas with or without supervision, as required.
  • Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proficiently communicate both internally and externally to build collaborative relationships.

Job Description

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Los Angeles, California October 29-30. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026.

The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Thursday, interviews will take place at either our Los Angeles or Orange office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to be based in Orange, CA.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.
  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Civil Engineering + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge of structural designs or projects.
  • Knowledge and experience using CADD and industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation).
