Software & Infrastructure Solutions Specialist

In this permanent position, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing infrastructure and software continuity strategies, leading DevOps initiatives, and ensuring the technical viability of complex solutions. This is a hybrid role, requiring your presence on-site at least three days per week.

You’ll be at the forefront of architectural decision-making, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and guiding the development and integration of secure, scalable, and high-performing systems. Your ability to work independently, mentor others, and continuously seek improvements will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance and consultation across multiple medium-sized initiatives focused on infrastructure, software, continuity, and security solutions.
• To take ownership to work with the DevOps team and actively drive the adoption and implementation of engineering policies, standards, technologies, and frameworks
• Support the identification, analysis, and resolution of issues related to technology, information management, product development, and infrastructure.
• Offer expert advice on infrastructure systems development and integration, ensuring alignment with strategic roadmaps, policies, and best practices.
• Define subsystems and interfaces, allocate responsibilities, and communicate requirements within the broader solution context.
• Recommend enhancements to organizational structures, technologies, and processes to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency.
• Take ownership of the technical viability and integrity of solutions within scope.
• Play a hands-on role in development, testing, implementation, and third-line production support.
• Contribute to both internal initiatives and client-facing projects or change programs.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Proven experience in solution design, development, and implementation, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Strong background in infrastructure hardware design, configuration, and implementation (e.g., networks, servers, storage).
• Proficiency in infrastructure software technologies, including virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), Windows environments, and database systems (e.g., MS SQL Server, MySQL).
• Experience in application development, preferably with .NET; willingness to learn Delphi is a plus.
• Solid understanding of IT continuity and security architectures, including Identity Management (IDM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
• Experience in providing third-line support for both applications and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and active participation in incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English is required.
