Job Description

As a Subject Matter Expert in Enhanced Due Diligence, you will be responsible for improving LSEG's Due Diligence Reports product, content, and research methodology. This role involves leveraging deep expertise in EDD processes to generate product improvement ideas, fulfilling complex client requirements, and acting as a primary contact for customer queries. You will also develop and deliver training sessions, conduct workshops, and partner with technology teams to test new platforms, ensuring the upkeep of knowledge databases and potentially supervising junior staff.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge and experience (around 1 year or more) in Investment Migration products of EDD.
  • Holds a recognized financial crime prevention certification (e.g., CAMS or ICA).
  • Knowledge of anti-financial fraud measures applications such as LSEG World-Check.
  • Proven experience in conducting training sessions for a global audience and developing educational materials.
  • Expertise in preparing internal documents such as guidelines, policies, or special operating procedures.
  • Proven success in providing consultation on product launches and resolving due diligence research uncertainties.
  • Understanding of how AI and ML can be leveraged to enhance due diligence processes.
Must Have:
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on LSEG Due Diligence Reports Product content and research methodology.
  • Review and improve LSEG Enhanced Due Diligence content, research methodology, and training program.
  • Generate product improvement ideas using deep expertise in Enhanced Due Diligence processes.
  • Provide input on fulfilling complex client requirements for pre-sale activities.
  • Act as a point of contact for customer queries regarding LSEG Due Diligence Reports content.
  • Conduct analysis of raised issues and work with appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to Research Team members.
  • Conduct development workshops and participate in webinars related to Enhanced Due Diligence.
  • Partner with Technology/Product/Proposition teams in testing new content platforms, services, and features.
  • Recommend effective methods and techniques for problem-solving.
  • Actively pursue ways to enhance Knowledge Management.
  • Ensure the upkeep of knowledge databases on designated products.
  • 10-12 years of experience in Enhanced Due Diligence areas (KYC, AML, ABAC, KYS, Third Party Risk Management, Investment Migration).
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer EDD requirements and pain points.
  • Familiarity with EDD market, solutions, industry trends, and global due diligence regulations.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, Economics, Criminal Justice, Journalism, or International Relations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, attention to detail.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently with minimal oversight.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills.

Key responsibilities:

Review and identify ways to improve LSEG Enhanced Due Diligence content, research methodology and training program to support quality assurance objectives

  • Uses deep expertise in Enhanced Due Diligence processes to generate product improvement ideas, including but not limited to risk scoring model, search string optimization, sanctions, report writing, template design, etc.
  • Provide input on how to fulfil complex, specific client requirements in support of pre-sale activities.
  • Acts as a point of contact for customers’ queries regarding the LSEG Due Diligence Reports content.
  • Conducts analysis of raised issues and works with appropriate departments for resolution (e.g., technology, product development, etc.).
  • Develops and delivers training sessions to Research Team members.
  • Conducts development workshops to enhance staff knowledge and skills, and participates in webinars related to Enhanced Due Diligence.
  • Partners with Technology/Product/Proposition teams in testing new content platforms, services, and features.
  • Leverages experience and analytical skills to recommend effective methods and techniques for problem-solving.
  • Actively pursues ways to enhance Knowledge Management as both a concept and a service offered to the business.
  • Ensures the upkeep of the knowledge databases on designated products to maintain their relevance and pertinence.
  • May coordinate and lead junior staff by supervising quality and providing comprehensive feedback on employee performance in a supervisory role.

Required qualifications:

  • 10 -12 years of experience in Enhanced Due Diligence areas such as Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Bribery and anti-Corruption (ABAC), Know Your Supplier (KYS), Third Party Risk Management, Investment Migration, or similar use cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer EDD requirements and pain points, preferably from past experience in professional services or other due diligence / corporate investigation firms.
  • Familiarity with EDD market, solutions, industry trends, and relevant global due diligence regulations.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, Economics, Criminal Justice, Journalism, or International Relations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to summarize information effectively from multiple sources.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks and responsibilities at once with good attention to details.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently with minimal oversight in a structured setting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Desired qualifications:

  • Has knowledge, expertise and desired experience of around 1 year or more in the area of Investment Migration products of EDD
  • Holds a recognized financial crime prevention certification (e.g., CAMS or ICA)
  • Has knowledge of anti-financial fraud measures applications such as LSEG World-Check
  • Proven experience in conducting training sessions for a global audience and developing educational materials
  • Expertise in preparing internal documents such as guidelines, policies or special operating procedures.
  • Proven success in providing consultation on product launches and resolving due diligence research uncertainties (Client-facing experience related to Enhanced Due Diligence matters a plus)
  • Understanding of how AI and ML can be leveraged to enhance due diligence processes.
