SageCor Solutions is seeking a System Administrator Level 3 to serve the Maryland and Greater Washington D.C. area. The role involves providing comprehensive engineering services and full lifecycle System Engineering. Key responsibilities include supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, managing IT system infrastructure, and handling day-to-day operations. The position requires providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, diagnosing and resolving problems, and communicating status to management and customers. The role also involves configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing and troubleshooting operating system software, and maintaining network components to enhance reliability and performance. An active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is mandatory.
Must have:
  • 15 years of SA experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 5 years additional SA experience
  • DoD 8570 compliance (IAT Level I or higher)
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Good to have:
  • Linux (CentOS/RHEL) installation and troubleshooting
  • VM maintenance, building, and troubleshooting
  • Shell Scripting
  • System patching using YUM
  • Reading vulnerability reports, IAVA compliance, POA&Ms
  • Familiarity with STE tools
  • Nagios monitoring and administration
  • PKI Server Certificates
  • Ansible playbooks and adhoc commands
  • Creating and Maintaining SOPs in Confluence
  • Intermediate Ansible playbook creation
  • Intermediate shell scripting
  • Intermediate GIT usage

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies.  
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.

Description:

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.  

Mandatory Skills:  

1. Fifteen (15) years' experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
2. Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
3. DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher is required.
 
 

Optional Skills:  

1. Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
2. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
3. Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
4. Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
5. Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems (U) Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
6. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
7. Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
8. Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
9. Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
10. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
11. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
12. Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
13. Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
14. Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
 
 

Certifications:  

DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher is required.

Familarity with Ansible playbooks and adhoc Ansible commands

Intermediate shell scripting
Intermediate GIT - check in/check out, branching/tagging, creating repositories
