AI and Cloud Systems Administrator

Kavaliro is seeking an AI and Cloud Systems Administrator to support mission-critical AI workflows in a hybrid cloud environment. The role involves designing, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, Kubernetes, and C2E to enable secure and scalable AI-driven solutions. You will work closely with AI engineers and architects to integrate document vectorization tools, MCP servers, and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS) to support scalable AI pipelines.
• Deploy Kubernetes clusters to host AI/ML models and MCP servers.
• Implement security protocols (ABAC, PKI encryption) in compliance with NIST, ICD 503, and DIA CIO standards.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot high-throughput AI systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure alignment of infrastructure with AI/ML workflows.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Experience with AI/ML workflows, RESTful API integration, and vectorization.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ABAC, PKI).
• Familiarity with vector databases (Qdrant, pgvector) and tools like vLLM, Ollama, MCP.

Pay Range: $130,000 – $180,000 per year

Clearance Requirement: Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to pass a CI Polygraph. Applicant MUST hold a permanent U.S. citizenship for this position in accordance with government contract requirements.

Location Requirement: This role is based in Reston, VA or Bolling AFB, DC, with 50% onsite and 50% telework.
