Job Description

SageCor Solutions is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator with an active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph. The role involves administering Linux/UNIX systems, configuring firewalls, applying OS patches, and providing IT system support. Candidates should have strong knowledge of networking principles and system security. This position is based in Fort Meade, Maryland, and requires a Bachelor's Degree with 14+ years of experience or 19+ years without a degree.

Good To Have:

Experience with Veritas NetBackup
Experience with Apache NiFi
Experience with cloud computing
Experience with analyzing and documenting system processes, build procedures, and system infrastructure
Experience with automated configuration management
Experience with troubleshooting standard daemons and tools
Experience with Linux-related shell scripting
Experience with NiFi operations and administration
Experience with using WLANs and VLANs

Must Have:

Experience with administering Linux or UNIX systems, including RedHat or CentOS
Experience with configuring and updating firewalls and routers
Experience with applying Operating System patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrading administrative tools and utilities
Experience providing support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution of all client server, storage, or network devices
Experience with drafting technical requirements, engineering documents, configuration documents, training manuals, and troubleshooting processes, including updating as needed
Knowledge of network/networking principles
Knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication
Bachelor's Degree and 14+ Years of experience with systems engineering or 19+ years of experience with systems engineering in lieu of a degree

Required Experience:

Experience with administering Linux or UNIX systems, including RedHat or CentOS
Experience with configuring and updating firewalls and routers
