The Systems Administrator is a key member of the Christ Fellowship Tech Team, specializing in Apple computers and mobile device management. This role involves providing technical assistance and support for Apple hardware and software, ensuring smooth operation and user satisfaction. Responsibilities include provisioning, deploying, and maintaining Mac and iOS devices, managing JAMF Pro and/or Mosyle, assisting users, maintaining inventory, developing documentation, and providing training. The role also involves adhering to SLAs, providing on-site and remote support, user provisioning, staying updated on tech trends, and participating in weekend rotations and events outside business hours.
Good To Have:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Apple Certified Support Professional)
Must Have:
  • Provisioning, deploying, and maintaining Mac and iOS devices.
  • Managing and administering JAMF Pro and/or Mosyle for device management.
  • Assisting users with setup, configuration, security, and maintenance of Apple devices.
  • Maintaining inventory of Apple devices and accessories.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and user guides for Apple products.
  • Providing training and guidance to users on best practices for using Apple devices and software.
  • Adhering to SLAs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Providing both on-site and remote support to multiple campuses and events.
  • User provisioning and access management.
  • Staying up to date with the latest technical trends and cybersecurity.
  • Participating in a weekend rotation and events outside typical business hours.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Technology Support (IT/IS) role.
  • Ability to work with ticketing systems and create knowledge base articles.
  • Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on providing exceptional service.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Systems Administrator is a cornerstone of the greater Christ Fellowship Tech Team. We are seeking a skilled technical professional specializing in Apple computers and mobile device management to join our IT support team. You will provide technical assistance and support for Apple hardware and software, including productivity and workflow solutions, while ensuring smooth operation and user satisfaction. This role ensures that technology is a ministry enabler, enhancing the church’s ability to lead a radical transformation for Jesus Christ in this region and beyond.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provisioning, deploying, and maintaining various hardware devices, primarily focused on Mac and iOS devices.
  • Manage and administer JAMF Pro and/or Mosyle for device management, including deployment, configuration, and security of Apple devices.
  • Assist users with setup, configuration, security, and maintenance of Apple devices.
  • Maintain inventory of Apple devices and accessories, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides for Apple products.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on best practices for using Apple devices and software.
  • Adhering to SLAs, being responsive to incoming requests, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Providing both on-site and remote support to multiple campuses and events.
  • User provisioning and access management.
  • Staying up to date with the latest technical trends and the broader cybersecurity landscape.
  • Participation in a weekend rotation.
  • Serving in events that occasionally occur outside typical business hours (nights and weekends).

EDUCATION:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience considered.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and/or REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proven experience with helpdesk support or a similar role, with a focus on Apple products.
  • Strong knowledge of macOS, iOS, and Apple hardware.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and configurations.
  • Experience with Apple MDMs, such as JAMF Pro, including deployment, configuration, and management of Apple devices.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Apple Certified Support Professional) are a plus.

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a Technology Support (IT/IS) role.
  • Ability to work with ticketing systems for issue resolution. Create and maintain knowledge base articles.
  • Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to find solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on providing exceptional service.

JOB SPECS:

Classification: Full-time, Salary (Non-Exempt); participating in a weekend rotation and occasionally in events that occur outside typical business hours (nights and weekends).
