PHINIA is seeking a skilled and experienced PLM Analyst to manage and enhance their Siemens Teamcenter PLM environment. This role involves BMIDE configuration, ITK development, system customizations, upgrades, and vendor collaboration, all under the guidance of the PLM Lead. The analyst will contribute to roadmap planning and continuous improvement, ensuring system health and alignment with business needs. Responsibilities include configuring BMIDE and Active Workspace, developing ITK customizations, managing workflows and change management processes, providing Tier 2/3 support for Teamcenter issues, supporting MCAD integrations, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating environment promotions. Collaboration with IT infrastructure teams and external partners is also key. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter, including BMIDE and ITK development, and familiarity with Teamcenter APIs, Active Workspace, and CAD integrations.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5–8 years hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter
  • Strong knowledge of Teamcenter ITK (C++/Java)
  • Experience with Teamcenter APIs (SOA/REST)
  • Experience with Active Workspace
  • Experience with CAD integrations (NX, SolidWorks)
  • Comfortable working in a structured environment
  • Effective communicator, able to document and explain technical decisions
Good to have:
  • Knowledge in NX/SolidWorks/Creo/CATIA

This role will operate under the guidance and coordination of the PLM Lead to ensure consistency, system health, and alignment with business priorities. The analyst will be responsible for BMIDE configuration, ITK development, system customizations, upgrade execution, and vendor collaboration, while contributing to roadmap planning and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration & Customization:

  • Implement and maintain BMIDE configurations in alignment with PLM architecture.
  • Develop, test, and deploy ITK-based customizations (C++/Java).
  • Configure Active Workspace (AWC) components such as stylesheets and command definitions.
  • Maintain workflows, including Change Management processes, aligned with engineering and PLM strategies.

Operations & Support :

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for Teamcenter issues, ensuring escalation paths and resolutions are communicated to PLM Lead.
  • Support MCAD integration issues (Knowledge in NX/SolidWorks/Creo/CATIA is desirable)
  • Coordinate with the support vendor to troubleshoot issues involving configuration and performance.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, sharing findings with the PLM Lead and documentation teams.

Project & Upgrade Management:

  • Plan, test, and execute block point updates and version upgrades, with timeline and scope validated by the PLM Lead.
  • Coordinate environment promotion (Dev/Test/Prod) activities to ensure alignment across lifecycle stages.

Collaboration & Communication (Supporting PLM Lead Strategy):

  • Assist in gathering feedback, planning enhancements, and executing the PLM roadmap.
  • Create and distribute release communications, training materials, and change notifications aligned with team strategy.
  • Partner with Engineering users and support teams to gather requirements and implement changes with proper documentation.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5–8 years hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter, including BMIDE and ITK development.
  • Strong knowledge of Teamcenter ITK (C++/Java) and configuration lifecycle.
  • Experience with Teamcenter APIs (SOA/REST), Active Workspace, and CAD integrations (NX, SolidWorks).
  • Comfortable working in a structured environment
  • Effective communicator with the ability to document and explain technical decisions clearly.
