Job Description

As a Tech Lead, you will join a global FX engineering team developing and maintaining a global trading solution for the FX NDF Matching platform. This role involves developing and maintaining the entire trading lifecycle, from data feeds to order execution and pre-trade risk management. You will produce high-quality software and documentation, collaborate with product owners and architects, and provide senior leadership to junior developers. The role requires active participation in an Agile Scrum team and ensuring software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Must have:
  • Develop and maintain the entire trading lifecycle, from data feeds to order execution and pre-trade risk management functionalities in FX NDF Exchange and Credit systems
  • Produce high-quality software, design, and functional documentation focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Work with product owners, architects and others to implement outstanding solutions that meet regulatory and customer needs
  • Provide estimates for specific software feature implementation
  • Identify, prioritize and implement tasks in the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Build unit and component tests for your code and follow test-driven development processes to achieve quality standards
  • Perform non-functional testing where necessary to verify the system meets required performance SLAs and resiliency requirements
  • Develop and maintain tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code that follows open sourcing standards
  • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
  • Provide senior leadership to junior software developers by leading design, implementation and code reviews
  • Collaborate with solution architects and delivery managers to ensure timely, high-quality releases by adhering to established quality standards
  • Actively participate in an Agile Scrum team, contributing to the grooming, planning, execution, and review of sprints
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional peers to ensure smooth delivery of software features
  • Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies and standards
  • Assist front-line support teams in resolving customer and production issues

As a Tech Lead, you will join a global FX engineering team who develops and maintains a global trading solution for FX NDF Matching platform that brings together the benefits of an NDF central limit order book and clearing to offer an outstanding solution for the global foreign exchange market fulfilling the demand for NDF market infrastructure in Asia and around the globe.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the entire trading lifecycle, from data feeds to order execution and pre-trade risk management functionalities in FX NDF Exchange and Credit systems
  • Produce high-quality software, design, and functional documentation focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Work with product owners, architects and others to implement outstanding solutions that meet regulatory and customer needs

Required Education/Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/IT/Computer Science (or equivalent) from a recognized university
  • Strong C++ expertise and experience of 3 years + experience in software development in C++
  • 3+ years of work experience in a reputed engineering organization
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships
  • Hands-on UNIX/Linux System Administration skills, with hands-on experience managing complex environments
  • Experience and knowledge in agile methodologies
  • Experience in software engineering principles, CI/CD tools and automation processes
