Exciting opportunities to join a fast-growing Internal Audit function at the prestigious London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). This role involves working as part of a team to complete audits, providing impactful reports, and improving the control environment. Responsibilities include driving the audit plan, supporting junior auditors, and solving complex assurance problems within a financial services Internal Audit function. The role is blended, offering flexibility.
Must have:

  • Complete audit testing, deliver work papers, and draft issue and report content.
  • Proactively contribute to scoping of reviews.
  • Provide input on identified changes or risks to Audit Director and Senior Audit Manager.
  • Drive the audit plan optimally to quality and within budget.
  • Support junior auditors in the field through active coaching and supervision.
  • Support audit director and senior audit manager in delivering complex internal audit engagements.
  • Solve sophisticated audit assurance problems.
  • Deliver core components of audit engagements.
  • Prior experience of working within a financial services Internal Audit function.

Role Purpose

  • Works as part of a team of auditors to successfully complete audits which provide impactful audit reports, assurance and contribute to improving the control environment.
  • Proactively contribute to audit teamwork, scrums/team meetings and independently drive audit walkthrough conversations with partners.
  • Independently complete audit testing, deliver work paper, draft issue and report content for your section to time and quality meeting all methodology requirements. Proactively contribute to scoping of reviews.
  • Provide input to the Audit Director and Senior Audit Manager on any changes or risks that you have identified in the area that you are responsible with recommendations for changes to audit plan for both the quarterly refresh and the annual plan (inclusions and exclusions) with drivers.

Role Responsibilities

  • Drives the audit plan optimally to quality and within budget.
  • Supports junior auditors in the field and uses active coaching and supervision to ensure quality as well as adhering to Internal Audit’s methodology.
  • Supports audit director and senior audit manager in delivering internal audit engagements (i.e sophisticated projects).
  • Solves sophisticated audit assurance problems calling out difficult instances where appropriate.
  • Delivers core components of audit engagements and has prior experience of working within a financial services Internal Audit function.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent, and relevant professional qualification
  • Recognised Internal Auditing (IIA / CIA) or Accounting Qualification. May be Part Qualified
  • Moderate proven experience required in assurance delivery and supervision
  • Extensive partner management experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced international organisation would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Continuous improvement attitude
