Job Description

The Technical Assistance Analyst will join a team providing technical support for WABTEC Diesel Electric locomotives. This role involves daily work within client maintenance workshops, offering technical recommendations and guidance, and interfacing with global Materials, Quality, Process, and Engineering teams. The analyst will ensure proper product functioning and maintenance, providing on-site technical assistance to minimize operational downtime. Responsibilities include guiding client maintenance teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, adhering to company guidelines for quality, productivity, and safety, and monitoring tests for maintenance validation.
Good To Have:
  • Desirable experience in diesel-electric locomotives.
Must Have:
  • Technical training in Mechanical/Electrical/Electrotechnical, Automation and related fields.
  • Basic English

Who will you work with?

You will be part of our team that provides technical support for WABTEC Diesel Electric locomotives. You will work daily within our client's maintenance workshops, directly with the maintenance team, providing necessary technical recommendations and guidance. You will also interface with our Materials, Quality, Process, and Engineering teams, not only in Brazil but worldwide.

How will you make a difference?

In your daily routine, you will ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of our products, providing on-site technical assistance with our client's team, in order to avoid or minimize operational downtime in the client's fleet, acting according to the quality, productivity, service, cost, and safety, health, and environment guidelines and metrics established by the company. You will indicate the activities, materials, and steps necessary for adequate maintenance, as well as monitor tests/diagnostics for validation and conformity of the maintenance performed.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Technical training in Mechanical/Electrical/Electrotechnical, Automation and related fields.
  • Desirable experience in diesel-electric locomotives.
  • Basic English.

What will your day-to-day be like?

  • Provide on-site technical assistance for our products at our clients, support in fault diagnosis, fleet performance analysis, maintenance, and related service activities, ensuring the proper functioning of the client's fleet;
  • Functionally guide client maintenance teams in locomotive maintenance activities, avoiding or minimizing operational downtime;
  • Ensure customer satisfaction regarding technical assistance solutions according to the service, deadline, performance, and quality metrics defined by the area.
  • Act according to process standardization, tools, and procedures related to Technical Assistance, contributing to their improvement.
  • Follow WABTEC and internal client guidelines and procedures, according to the designated place of work, ensuring compliance with integrity and compliance guidelines, as well as the company's EHS standards and procedures.
