Technical Information Functional-Data Analyst

TVH is seeking for a Technical Information Data analyst to join our global team. The team is specialized in consolidating technical information from various data sources across our different markets and industries.

As Technical Information Functional Analyst you will act as the glue between the data engineers and the key business stakeholders. You are responsible for analyzing the business needs for equipment information, translating these into functional analyses, and ultimately representing those needs within the data engineering teams to support and guide them throughout the data delivery process. Furthermore you will continuously seek opportunities to improve our internal data processes and collaboration with our stakeholders. You will be reporting directly to the Technical Information team manager.

Your role and responsibilities

• Gathering requirements: You will map the processes and the information flows within the projects / business-as-usual in close collaboration with all stakeholders, using different ways to gather input. Additionally you will monitor the progress and document the data delivery process.
• Analytic-driven problem solver: You are energized to deep-dive into the Equipment data domain to untangle the complex data challenges and support our internal teams to translate these into potential resolutions.
• Data Delivery Champion: You will guide the entire data delivery process, from initial requirements gathering to final implementation within customer-facing search engines. Acting as a functional expert within the team, you will lead the testing and validation process with inter-departmental stakeholders.
• Continuous improvement: You continuously search for potential process and quality improvements throughout the data delivery process, going from project documentation to new ways of working to improve data quality, boost efficiency and reduce time-to-delivery.
• Stakeholder Alignment: You will act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the data integration process. Establish strong relationships and engagement with key internal stakeholders.

How to succeed/Your profile

• Bachelor or master's degree in Business science, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
• Affinity for and experience with the general principles of data engineering, data modeling and data transferring.
• Fluent communication (speaking and writing) in English.
• Strong analytical mind and you get energized by developing a vision based on a profound analysis.
• A good eye for detail and a commitment to data quality and accuracy.
• Strong SQL skills (both standard SQL as BigQuery SQL will be used).
• Sound business knowledge - able to understand business processes & the impact of data on the processes. Be able to understand what is being analyzed from a business point of view.
• Critical thinking.
• Creative and enterprising personality who is not afraid to try out new ideas.
• Willingness to travel 1 or 2 weeks per year.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Google Cloud or other cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of Python, R Jupyter notebooks.
• Knowledge of BI/data visualization tools.
• Experience in business process analysis.
• Familiarity with project development methodologies such as Scrum (Agile).
• Knowledge of UML, BPMN, ArchiMate, ...
