Job Description

The Anvil pipeline is used by thousands of people across multiple productions at Ubisoft. This role involves taking technical leadership in test automation and promoting excellent development practices, including solid architecture, suitable design patterns, and testability-oriented code. You will collaborate with the CPI and Architect to define vision, deliver reliable solutions, and guide the team to high standards, ensuring robust automated tests and exemplary development practices for the Anvil One strategy.
Must have:
  • Define automated testing strategy (unit, integration, UI/tools) focusing on robustness and visibility.
  • Program on critical subjects (C#, C++), optimize performance, and ensure testability from design.
  • Promote best practices: architectural principles, design patterns, code reviews, TDD, and dependency injection.
  • Industrialize validation in central CI/CD and collaborate with other Anvil domains to secure the pipeline.
  • Act as a technical mentor and solve complex problems.

About Anvil

The Anvil pipeline is used by thousands of people across multiple productions. With the Anvil One strategy, every improvement benefits all projects. This pooling requires robust automated tests and exemplary development practices.

What you will do

Take technical lead on test automation and promote excellence in development practices: solid architecture, adapted design patterns, and testability-oriented code. You will collaborate with the CPI and the Architect to define the vision, deliver reliable solutions, and guide the team towards high standards.

The main and usual functions of this job are:

  • Define the automated testing strategy (unit, integration, UI/tools) with a focus on robustness and visibility (metrics, quarantines, CI/CD).
  • Program on critical subjects (C#, C++), optimize performance, and ensure testability from design.
  • Promote best practices: architectural principles, design patterns, code reviews, TDD, and dependency injection.
  • Industrialize validation in central CI/CD and collaborate with other Anvil domains to secure the pipeline.
  • Act as a technical mentor and solve complex problems.

What you bring

  • 7+ years in software development.

Skills:

  • Advanced C#
  • Good level in C++
  • Understanding of quality processes and CI/CD

Know-how:

  • Software architecture
  • Design patterns
