What You’ll Do
- Project Planning & Leadership: Define project scope, cost, milestones, and resource needs. Lead internal teams and external vendors to deliver outcomes aligned with business goals.
- Team Direction: Provide clear direction to project teams, ensuring alignment with objectives and fostering accountability.
- Progress Monitoring: Track milestones, evaluate progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions. Escalate issues as needed.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage expectations, communicate risks and progress, and negotiate outcomes in complex environments.
- WPO Model Expertise: Apply deep understanding of the Wireless Program Office (WPO) Contractor Delivery model with strong commercial insight.
- Project Documentation: Develop and maintain Project Management Plans, forecasts, and expenditure priorities.
- System & Data Management: Ensure accurate project data entry and integration across business systems. Analyze data to identify risks and performance trends.
- Reporting: Deliver integrated reports from various systems and processes to support decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate on identifying system/process enhancements and cost efficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead virtual teams, build and manage a site acquisition/design/build team, and work across organizational boundaries.
- Timely Execution: Act with urgency to meet deadlines and deliverables.
About You
- Excellent negotiation skills at all levels and with multiple stakeholders including staff, external consultants and private sector providers
- Highly developed project management skills and understanding of the system related business rules for project management
- Has high regard to learning and is an effective collaborator who proactively shares skills and knowledge
- Understanding of radio network and mobiles network
- Town planning and community consultation skills are of advantage
