As a Network Engineering Specialist, you will be accountable for the acquisition and management of the design of projects delivered by the Wireless Program Office, providing new and augmented mobile base station infrastructure into the Telstra Wireless networks.

What You’ll Do
- Project Delivery: Lead assigned projects to meet customer expectations, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and HSE requirements
- Build and manage a small site acquisition, design, and build team.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Guide virtual teams to meet regulatory and project goals.
- Commercial Acumen: Apply deep understanding of the Wireless Program Office (WPO) Contractor Delivery model.
- Stakeholder Management: Align expectations, drive change, and negotiate outcomes in complex environments.
- Communication & Reporting: Keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Planning & Forecasting: Develop project plans including financial models, logistics, and resource allocation.
About You
- Project Management: Scope development and delivery within time and budget constraints.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mobile networks, civil design, construction, and environmental planning.
- Legislative Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal/state laws including Telecommunications Act 1997, Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code 2011, and others.
- Regulatory Advisory: Provide expert advice on legislative matters.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain connections with internal teams, government officials, and landowners.
- Property & Planning: Skilled in acquisition, site sharing, development applications, and environmental assessments.
- Negotiation: Handle leasing/licensing with various landowners to secure favorable outcomes.
- Appeals Management: Knowledge of planning appeals and experience in managing them.
- EME Compliance: Understand and communicate electromagnetic energy (EME) regulations.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Track milestones, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- HSE Compliance: Ensure personal and team adherence to safety and environmental standards.
