RF HW Development Engineer
In our Tubize site, you will join 250+ colleagues recognised by domestic and international partners for their expertise on Radio Frequency (RF) Products, C4ISR, Crypto Global Solution, MACS (Aeronautical Intercom) and many others.
Your mission:
- You will be responsible for the design and development of analogue RF products. This includes analysis of customer specifications, sub-system and detailed design, design integration and qualification, and following up of the design into production
- You will centre your activity on HF and VHF transmitter design (1.5 to 300 MHz) including power amplifiers, filtering, antenna matching units and antenna systems
- You will work in an enthusiastic pluri-disciplinary engineering team which will give you the opportunity to evolve and expand your competence
- Your work will be performed considering high-level international standards and in-house quality procedures (ISO and Civil Aviation standards).
What we are looking for:
- You hold a civil or industrial engineering degree in electronics-telecommunications
- You have at least 10 years of experience in hardware development
- You have very strong HF analogue circuit design skills
- Design of HF/RF analogue circuits such as power amplifiers, LNAs, ATUs, filters for high-power applications (from 20W to 10kW)
- Extensive experience with analogue circuits simulations tools like Spice, ADS, MW Office
- Design robustness analysis (worst-case, part stress, Failure Mode analysis)
- Perform reliability analysis, such as MTBF and MTTF calculation
- Optimisation of these circuits at board level and product level to ensure product requirements are fulfilled
- Hands-on laboratory work, including RF tuning and testing using network analysers, spectrum analysers and other RF test equipment
- Guide layout engineers in the design and development of HF/RF circuits.
As a strong bonus, you have:
- Problem-solving, debugging and failure analysis skills with a solid understanding of core engineering principles
- Communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in oral and written forms across different management levels
- Mental abstraction capacity and a wide interest in technology. Additionally, you are innovative, creative and an avid learner. Radio ham enthusiasts are definitely welcome
- The ability to work in team and a taste for international contacts
- The flexibility to integrate a project at different stages
- Good command of English and fluency in French and/or Dutch.
