Job Summary

The GSOC Lead at Nubank drives the operational performance and strategic evolution of the Global Security Operations Center. This role ensures real-time situational awareness, efficient incident response, and alignment with Security Operations objectives. It involves leading cross-functional monitoring and response teams, promoting data-driven decision-making, and coordinating global sites to protect Nubank’s people, assets, digital presence, and reputation. The lead also focuses on people development, vendor management, and performance optimization to deliver world-class service.

Must Have

  • Lead daily GSOC operations, ensuring 24/7 monitoring, incident response, and escalation management.
  • Supervise and mentor GSOC operators and shift leads.
  • Oversee the generation and validation of alerts, reports, and dashboards.
  • Ensure operational alignment across GSOC verticals such as Digital Security, Intelligence, Incident Response & Crisis, CCTV/Physical Monitoring, and Executive Protection support.
  • Partner with Security Operations leadership to maintain performance KPIs and support global security initiatives.
  • Implement automation, efficiency, and standardization initiatives to strengthen GSOC maturity.
  • Act as the primary liaison with cross-functional teams (Facilities, ITSec, People, Legal, and Compliance).
  • Maintain and update SOPs, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Support coordination across countries and other operational hubs, ensuring consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Design and implement career development plans, succession strategies, and training programs.
  • Continuously assess the GSOC’s structure, capacity, and technology to anticipate future needs.
  • Implement and monitor Quality Assurance processes to maintain consistency, accuracy, and operational excellence.
  • Manage third-party contracts and service providers, ensuring SLA and KPI compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in security operations, GSOC leadership, or equivalent management roles.
  • Experience with vendor management, SLA governance, and Quality Assurance programs.
  • Proven experience leading and developing multidisciplinary and 24/7 operational teams.
  • Strong understanding of incident response workflows, intelligence operations, physical monitoring environments, and performance management frameworks for service providers.
  • Proficiency with GSOC technologies, such as video management systems, access control platforms, and ticketing tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.

  • Spanish proficiency is highly desirable.

About the Role

The GSOC Lead at Nubank is responsible for driving the operational performance and strategic evolution of the Global Security Operations Center, ensuring real-time situational awareness, efficient incident response, and consistent alignment with Security Operations objectives.

This role leads cross-functional monitoring and response teams, promotes data-driven decision-making, and ensures seamless coordination between global sites to protect people, assets, digital and reputation.

The GSOC Lead also plays a key role in people development, vendor management, and performance optimization, ensuring the right structure, tools, and talent are in place to deliver measurable impact and world-class service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily GSOC operations, ensuring 24/7 monitoring, incident response, and escalation management.
  • Supervise and mentor GSOC operators and shift leads, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the generation and validation of alerts, reports, and dashboards to guarantee accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Ensure operational alignment across GSOC verticals such as Digital Security, Intelligence, Incident Response & Crisis, CCTV/Physical Monitoring, and Executive Protection support.
  • Partner with Security Operations leadership to maintain performance KPIs and support global security initiatives.
  • Implement automation, efficiency, and standardization initiatives to strengthen GSOC maturity.
  • Act as the primary liaison with cross-functional teams (Facilities, ITSec, People, Legal, and Compliance) to ensure integrated response and communication.
  • Maintain and update SOPs, documentation, and quality assurance processes in partnership with the Documentation & QA function.
  • Support coordination across countries and other operational hubs, ensuring consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Design and implement career development plans, succession strategies, and training programs to ensure continuous professional growth within the GSOC.
  • Continuously assess the GSOC’s structure, capacity, and technology to anticipate future needs and support growth.
  • Implement and monitor Quality Assurance processes to maintain consistency, accuracy, and operational excellence.
  • Manage third-party contracts and service providers, ensuring SLA and KPI compliance, regular contract reviews, and continuous performance improvement.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in security operations, GSOC leadership, or equivalent management roles, including experience with vendor management, SLA governance, and Quality Assurance programs.
  • Proven experience leading and developing multidisciplinary and 24/7 operational teams, including the creation of career paths and succession plans.
  • Strong understanding of incident response workflows, intelligence operations, physical monitoring environments, and performance management frameworks for service providers.
  • Experience managing third-party contracts, ensuring SLA compliance, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency with GSOC technologies, such as video management systems, access control platforms, and ticketing tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and influence cross-functional outcomes.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English; Spanish is highly desirable.
