Your daily life

Come discover the Moirans site, a human-sized site with a beautiful environment. Coming to work in Moirans means: a friendly and warm atmosphere, interesting engineering projects, mountains nearby.

We are looking for an Analog Electronics Engineer Displays Front-End (M/F), on a permanent contract, at our Moirans site.

The Boards department's activity is to define, design, and verify electronic modules, cards, and functions for Thales' Avionics division.

At the Moirans site, you will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team of 20 employees, which ensures the development of new Displays products and solutions, as well as the management of evolutions and obsolescence of existing products, for civil and military avionics.

The Analog Electronics Engineer is responsible for:

  • the development of electronic functions necessary for the "display" function: backlight card, card / flex driving LCD (conversion of video flux into synchronized RGB signals for LCD lines & columns), and touch panel.
  • the design of the TFT TN (Twisted Nematic) matrix in an obsolescence management context. In the medium term, it will be possible to participate in the development of the new generation of TFT LCD IPS (In Plane Switching) towards which the consumer market is pushing us.
  • participating in the introduction of new Display technologies in civil and military aeronautics.

You will participate autonomously but under the responsibility and support of an experienced engineer (architect), in all or part of the activities of the development cycle of display cards or functions for avionics equipment.

  • Analysis of technical specifications written by the architect,
  • Card or analog brick design, calculation, schematic, simulation and prototyping,
  • Implementation of the design with the printed circuit board design office,
  • Design refinement,
  • Formal verification of requirements,
  • Handling of technical problems encountered,
  • Support for environmental qualification tests,
  • Drafting of certification files when necessary.

Your profile:

You have a Bac+5 (engineering school or equivalent) specialized in analog electronics and have:

  • knowledge in analog electronics (operational amplifiers, RC/LC filtering, ADC/DAC conversion, voltage regulation, noise and interference management…),
  • knowledge of video link buses,
  • knowledge in power management (reference voltage generation, DC/DC conversion topology) and signal synchronization / timing controller management,
  • knowledge of electronic board HW processes, tools and workshops
  • skills in simulation tools (MATLAB, MATHCAD, PSPICE, SIMPLIS, SIMETRIX),
  • proficiency in commonly used measurement devices (Oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc…)
  • ability to work in English (oral and written).

Are autonomy, rigor, team spirit, curiosity, and proactivity recognized as your strengths?

Then this position is for you!

The BOARD department being a multi-site and multi-domain department, you will be required, depending on workload and project priorities, to get involved in other application areas than Displays and on other sites.

You must therefore be willing to travel (missions) to ensure the proper functioning of these developments.

A word from the manager/team:

The team specialized in the development of electronic functions acts on all THALES AVS France products and works with engineering teams in India (Bangalore) and Canada. We offer you an opportunity to discover the world of aeronautics, on innovative projects with high industrial value, in a dynamic team that will guide you and help you progress in the field of analog electronics but also around the domain of Displays.
