OpenText is seeking a Lead Front-end Developer for their Cybersecurity Enterprise portfolio. This hybrid role in Ottawa, ON, involves leading a team, driving multi-team initiatives, and developing scalable web applications using JavaScript, React, and Node.JS. The role focuses on constructing cutting-edge Information Management Solutions, integrating AI/ML, and setting quality standards for technical work, contributing to critical projects that safeguard organizations from cyber threats and enhance digital transformation.
Must Have

- Lead in setting the quality standards for the team's technical work
- Develop scalable web applications in JavaScript
- Develop and use libraries, APIs and frameworks
- Drive the integration of AI and machine learning technologies
- Perform unit and integration testing for software
- Strong experience in enterprise-class scalable web applications, in JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs
- Experience with key programming languages and technologies; JavaScript, React, React Router, Webpack, Redux, Redux Thunk, Express and Node.JS
- Experience with SaaS, cloud and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud deployment and cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python to develop and automate cybersecurity tools and scripts
- Strong (OOD)Object-Oriented analysis and design skills
- Experience with GIT Repositories, NOSQL databases, AGILE
- Strong knowledge of Software Design Patterns
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Shell
- Self-driven quick learner with attention to detail and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient and comfortable at problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and problem solving
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent

As a Lead Software Developer, you will:
- Provide strong leadership for the team, wielding technical and business influence beyond team boundaries.

- Develop scalable web applications, in JavaScript.
- Develop and use libraries, APIs and frameworks to assist in the creation of applications.
- Drive the integration of AI and machine learning technologies into core platforms to enhance functionality, scalability and user experience.
- Perform unit and integration testing for software.
What you need to Succeed:
- Strong experience in enterprise-class scalable web applications, in JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs
- Experience with key programming languages and technologies; JavaScript, React, React Router, Webpack, Redux, Redux Thunk, Express and Node.JS
- Experience with SaaS, cloud and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Salary Range: $103,250 - $153,250; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
