Job Summary
At Fortiche, we are recruiting a Lead Workflow Dev to bring ambitious projects to life. Reporting to the Dev Supervisor, your primary mission is to act as the technical lead for a team of developers dedicated to the stability and evolution of our pipeline. You will maintain a hands-on operational role, stay connected to practical challenges, and lead by example. You will be a key point of contact, working closely with Core Dev, R&D Dev, and TD teams to ensure technical consistency and help production teams turn their visions into reality.
Must Have
- Define roadmap and schedule for pipeline evolution
- Reduce technical debt and maintain pipeline flexibility and robustness
- Integrate new technologies with R&D Dev and Core Dev teams
- Monitor 3D/2D/VFX pipeline technologies
- Ensure compatibility and maintenance of essential manufacturing tools
- Balance pipeline development with tool creation based on project needs
- Support TD team in analyzing technical needs and transforming them into concrete tools
- Collaborate with R&D Dev and TD teams to distribute tool development responsibilities
- Excellent understanding of end-to-end 3D animation data flows
- Mastery of Python for architectural coding and clean integration into existing systems
- Good knowledge of several DCCs (Maya, Nuke, Houdini) and their APIs
- Ability to anticipate technical debt generated by ongoing projects
- Ability to manage complex technical issues with multiple ramifications
- Solid knowledge of Git and collaborative development methodologies
- Perfectly fluent in French (written and spoken)

At Fortiche, what drives our teams is bringing ambitious projects to life! To maintain our momentum and guarantee the quality of our multi-project and multi-client productions, we are recruiting a Lead Workflow Dev.
Reporting to the Dev Supervisor, your primary mission is to act as the technical lead for a team of developers dedicated to the stability and evolution of our pipeline. In addition to managing your team, you will maintain a hands-on operational role to stay connected to the team’s practical challenges, continue learning, and lead by example.
You will be a key point of contact, working closely with the Core Dev, R&D Dev, and TD teams to ensure technical consistency. Your "clients" will be the production teams (CG Sups, supervisors, leads, artists), whom you will help in turning their visions into reality.
MAIN MISSIONS
Driving Pipeline Evolution
- Strategy and planning: define the roadmap with the Dev Supervisor and translate it into a clear schedule to ensure on-time delivery of our major projects.
- Technical debt reduction: secure the future of our pipeline by maintaining its flexibility and robustness.
- Innovation: work hand-in-hand with the R&D Dev team to integrate new technologies for tomorrow's productions, while ensuring alignment with the Core Dev team’s low-level platform.
- Monitoring: maintain an active watch on 3D/2D/VFX pipeline technologies to ensure Fortiche remains at the industry's cutting edge.
Maintaining and developing production tools
- Operations: ensure compatibility and maintenance of essential manufacturing tools.
- Prioritization: in collaboration with the Dev Supervisor, balance pipeline development with tool creation based on evolving project needs.
- Technical translator: support the TD team in analyzing the production departments' technical needs and transforming them into concrete tools that improve performance, quality, and workflow comfort.
- Distribution: collaborate with the R&D Dev and TD teams to intelligently distribute tool development responsibilities.

Essential Hard Skills

RECRUITMENT PROCESS
1. Pre-qualification interview with the Talent Acquisition team.
2. Interview with our Dev Supervisor and Project Manager.
3. Final interview with our CTO.
SALARY
- Between 215 EUR and 235 EUR / DAY (Gross salary)
