Job Summary

As a Control Technician at Thales in Brest, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of power bay production for sonars. Your daily tasks will involve verifying documentation and technical conformity of delivered/manufactured items, inspecting articles against specifications, identifying non-conformities, and drafting reports. You will also manage document archiving and contribute to process improvement, working within a team-oriented environment.

Must Have

  • Verify documentary and technological compliance of delivered/manufactured items.
  • Inspect incoming/outgoing articles against reference documents and specifications.
  • Identify non-conformities and draft non-conformity reports.
  • Ensure durability/traceability by archiving reports in appropriate tools.
  • Respect documentation and archiving processes.
  • Contribute to control process improvement.
  • Broad technical culture (Electronics and Mechanics).
  • Comfortable with IT and document management.
  • Experience in material and documentary control.
  • Experience in writing inspection reports.
  • Experience in archiving and document tracking.
  • Bac+2 Technical degree.

Your daily life

The Brest site hosts our digital services activities as well as Thales' expertise in development, integration, and maintenance for maritime patrol and surveillance systems, electronic warfare, sonar systems, and airborne anti-submarine warfare, as well as our digital services activities.

Within our production line for power bays associated with our Sonars, you ensure control during the different production stages.

Your missions:

  • Verify the documentary and technological compliance of the delivered/manufactured reference against the ordered one (definition, manufacturing, and control files and technical standards).
  • Verify incoming/outgoing articles against reference documents and inspect them against the specifications mentioned in the definition files and production files.
  • Identify any non-conformities and draft non-conformity reports, and ensure durability/traceability by archiving them in the appropriate tools.
  • Respect documentation and archiving of documents in the defined tools and process.
  • Contribute to the improvement of control processes by proposing progress actions for your scope (flow management, evolution of practices, etc.).

Your profile

Do you have a broad technical culture (Electronics and Mechanics)?

Are you comfortable with IT and document management?

Do you have a Bac+2 Technical degree and experience in:

  • Material and especially documentary control
  • Writing inspection reports
  • Archiving and document tracking

Are the ability to work in a team, excellent communication skills, team spirit, and rigor recognized strengths of yours?
