Job Summary

This internship role at Thales, located in Vélizy-Villacoublay, involves contributing to the deployment of responsible purchasing activities. The intern will support environmental responsibility and decarbonization efforts by engaging suppliers, tracking carbon reduction plans, and assisting with societal responsibility initiatives. The role also includes communication, training, community animation, digital tool deployment, and reporting. This is a 6-month internship for a Bac +4/5 student with a strong interest in sustainability, purchasing, project management, and fluent English.

Must Have

  • Contribute to supplier engagement for environmental responsibility/decarbonization (launching, monitoring, analyzing low-carbon questionnaires, SBTi commitments, CDP scores, extra-financial reports).
  • Monitor greenhouse gas emission reduction action plans.
  • Support activities related to societal responsibility, especially in the Protected Sector.
  • Contribute to communication and training activities for buyers.
  • Assist in animating the Purchasing community and network of Referents.
  • Aid in deploying digital tools (Carbon Management Tool, internal dashboards).
  • Assist with external (CSRD, Ecovadis, CDP) and internal (extra-financial KPIs) reporting.
  • Perform external monitoring and sectoral benchmarks.
  • Bac +4/5 education (engineering, business school, or university).
  • Strong interest in sustainability, especially climate and decarbonization.
  • Attraction to the purchasing function and good understanding of its missions.
  • Rigor, good analytical skills, ability to synthesize and present ideas (written/oral).
  • Autonomy and organization.
  • Proactive and good interpersonal skills.
  • First experience in project management.
  • Enjoy teamwork and facilitating working groups.
  • Fluent English.

As part of this internship, you will report to the Head of Environmental Purchasing and Social Responsibility and your main missions will be to contribute to the deployment of activities related to Responsible Purchasing.

You will be responsible for:

  • Environmental Responsibility / Decarbonization: contribute to supplier engagement in support of the Purchasing community (launching, monitoring and analyzing Low Carbon questionnaires, SBTi commitments, CDP scores and extra-financial reports) and monitoring greenhouse gas emission reduction action plans.

This internship will be an opportunity for you to work in a team within an innovative company, to apply academic knowledge in an industrial environment, and to develop new skills.

You will interact with Purchasing teams, the Group CSR Directorate, the eco-design teams of the Group's industrial entities, etc.

Your profile:

Are you a Bac +4/5 student (engineering / business school or university) looking for a 6-month internship that will allow you to develop your skills?
