Job Description

Thales is looking for a Technical Undergraduate Intern AMS Software & Hardware Engineer who is primarily responsible to ensure the integration and verification of the deliverables for our final client. Key responsibilities include installation of air traffic systems, network and OS configuration, creating project documentation (AD, HDD, HCMD), providing technical support, troubleshooting, and direct support to the engineering department for bid construction and platform support. The role also involves second-level support for production failures, including detection, analysis, monitoring, escalation, and control of identified faults.
Must have:
  • Installation of the air traffic system
  • Network configuration and operating system installation and configuration
  • Creation of project documentation: Architectural Drawings (AD), Hardware Description Document (HDD), Hardware Configuration Management Document (HCMD)
  • Provide timely technical support to the project
  • Review and analyze test protocols, attend planning meetings, Deliver test results at meetings
  • Conduct troubleshooting in the laboratory and production
  • Direct support to the engineering department for bid construction, technical support for all project operating platforms
  • Second-level support for production failures, Detection, analysis, monitoring, escalation, and control of faults identified in production and the laboratory
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program related to software engineering, computer science, aeronautics engineering, electronics and telecommunications engineering or any relevant field
  • Currently enrolled in the last semester
  • Intermediate-advanced English proficiency, oral and written

Position Summary

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Installation of the air traffic system
  • Network configuration and operating system installation and configuration
  • Creation of project documentation: Architectural Drawings (AD), Hardware Description Document (HDD), Hardware Configuration Management Document (HCMD)
  • Provide timely technical support to the project, Review and analyze test protocols, attend planning meetings, Deliver test results at meetings.
  • Conduct troubleshooting in the laboratory and production.
  • Direct support to the engineering department for bid construction, technical support for all project operating platforms.
  • Second-level support for production failures, Detection, analysis, monitoring, escalation, and control of faults identified in production and the laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program related to software engineering, computer science, aeronautics engineering, electronics and telecommunications engineering or any relevant field; and / or equivalent experience.
  • Currently enrolled in the last semester.
  • Intermediate-advanced English proficiency, oral and written.
  • Strong communicator and negotiator, analytical, results-oriented, customer-oriented, a strong time manager, autonomous, honest, and empathetic, strong focus on helping customers and ensuring their satisfaction.
