Job Description

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering, enabling advanced chip and display production. This UI Engineer role in Bangalore involves designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. The position requires building Helm templates, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging GenAI for innovation in containerization and orchestration. Responsibilities also include developing cloud-native applications with Azure services, migrating legacy systems to Azure/AWS microservices, and ensuring high-quality code through testing and debugging, working closely with DevOps.
Must have:
  • Design, develop, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Build containerization & Helm templates for complex web applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for innovative solutions.
  • Utilize GenAI for innovation in containerization and orchestration.
  • Implement and optimize containerization and orchestration strategies.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using Azure services.
  • Migrate legacy monolith applications to containerized microservices on Azure/AWS.
  • Stay updated with GenAI, containerization, and cloud-native development trends.
  • Explore and leverage OpenAI and Azure Cognitive services.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams for smooth integration and deployment.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge containerized applications using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

2. Build containerization & Helm templates for complex web based applications.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and propose creative solutions.

4. Utilize GenAI capabilities to bring innovation in containerization and orchestration of full stack web applications.

5. Implement and optimize containerization and orchestration strategies to improve scalability, performance, and efficiency.

6. Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using Azure services such as AppServices, Azure Functions, and API Gateway.

7. Migrate existing legacy monolith applications to containerized and orchestrated microservices on Azure / AWS Cloud.

8. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in GenAI, containerization, and cloud-native development.

9. Explore and leverage OpenAI and Azure Cognitive services to enhance application functionality and user experience.

10. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality and bug-free code.

11. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of containerized applications in the Azure cloud environment. .

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 4 - 8 years of relevant experience.
