Bally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence. The User Experience Research team at Bally’s Interactive plays a pivotal role in shaping world-class products by grounding decisions in real user needs. As a UX Researcher, you will deliver continuous, insight-driven research, acting as the voice of players to guide product design and innovation. You will embed user, market, and competitor insights into the product design lifecycle, drive a research-first culture, and plan and execute research to generate meaningful, actionable insights.
Must have:

  • Design and conduct user research to validate ideas, test designs, and uncover unmet needs.

  • Analyze behavioural data (e.g. FullStory, Maze, Google Analytics).
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, data analysts, and engineers.
  • Possess a background in UX/UI design.

Who we are

Bally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence. It currently owns and manages 15 casinos across 10 states, a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and has access to OSB licenses in 18 states. It also owns Bally's Interactive International, formerly Gamesys Group, a leading, global, online gaming operator, Bally Bet, a first-in-class sports betting platform, and Bally Casino, a growing iCasino platform.

With 10,600 employees, the Company's casino operations include approximately 15,300 slot machines, 580 table games and 3,800 hotel rooms. Upon completing the construction of a permanent casino facility in Chicago, IL, and a land-based casino near the Nittany Mall in State College, PA, Bally's will own and/or manage 16 casinos across 11 states. Bally’s also has rights to developable land in Las Vegas post the closure of the Tropicana.

At Bally’s Interactive, our User Experience Research team plays a pivotal role in shaping world-class products by grounding our decisions in real user needs. As a UX Research, you’ll be responsible for delivering continuous, insight-driven research that helps guide product design and innovation. You’ll act as the voice of our players – championing their behaviours, needs, and pain points to ensure we deliver experiences that truly resonate.

The UXR Team sits at the heart of Product Design at Bally’s Interactive – where creativity meets innovation in an environment built for experimentation and impact. As part of this dynamic, multi-skilled team powering platforms like BallyBet, JackpotJoy, and more, you’ll play a transformative role in shaping the next generation of industry-leading digital experiences. This isn’t just research – it’s strategic discovery that guides design, influences product direction, and helps us disrupt the gambling and tech landscape. You’ll be a trusted, pivotal partner to design, product, and engineering, ensuring every insight counts and every voice matters.

So, what will you be doing?

  • Embedding user, market, and competitor insights into the product design lifecycle.
  • Driving a research-first culture within the design team by proactively identifying opportunities to level up our products.
  • Keeping the team informed and inspired by the latest UX trends, research methods, and innovations – both within the industry and beyond.
  • Plan and execute research that generates meaningful, actionable insights for product teams.
  • Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations that improve the player experience.
  • Ensure research aligns with business goals, product vision, and strategic objectives.
  • Work with Product Designers to translate findings into prototypes or design outputs when needed, supporting validation.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI Designers and Product Managers to shape the right questions – and ensure answers lead to better outcomes.
  • Support the design team with research that will guide and support their design thinking.

And what are we looking for?

  • Designing and conducting user research to validate ideas, test designs, and uncover unmet needs.
  • Translating complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations that influence product direction.
  • Analysing behavioural data (e.g. FullStory, Maze, Google Analytics) and combining it with qualitative research for a holistic view.
  • Articulating the ROI of design decisions with clarity and confidence.
  • Delivering findings in compelling formats – decks, prototypes, storytelling sessions – that drive real change.
  • Collaborating effectively with product managers, designers, data analysts, and engineers to ensure insight is applied where it matters.
  • You’ve got a background in UX/UI design and can turn insight into low-fi wireframes, visual concepts, or even production-ready design.
  • You’ve used Figma before – or you’re eager to learn – and you’re curious about how component libraries, design tokens, and structured systems help teams scale good design.
