The UXE Validation, Planning and Execution Lead is primarily responsible for identifying the required Functional Objectives for new programs and creating the specific UXE validation checklist with the focus area centered around UXE requirements for cluster and head unit but also includes support for ADAS, and physical testing needs.
The work requires close interface with the Advanced Program PE, UX design, UXE Feature Leads, and Program team members.
The work starts at program concept, continues through mule / buck testing and runs through final physical validation testing on prototype vehicles.
This includes conducting the testing to find and document logic & flow, graphical, and other issues that are then reported as validation test results to leadership.
The Validation team is responsible for the validation of hardware, software, and vehicle functionality.
Responsible for developing master DVP's for Vehicle Validation, creating and managing DVP&R's, the test procedures (including maintaining traceability of test artifacts to requirements), and initial root cause analysis activities.
Additionally, the team is responsible for properly documenting test procedures and developing new tests as appropriate to enhance coverage.
The Validation Engineer shall ensure test properties functionality for validating the appropriate functions, performing the tests and entering test results at all I-Points for all programs.
The engineer will clearly document issues in GIMs and provide UXE management with results and open issues found.
