Must have:

We are looking for a dynamic Vice President of Customer Data Platform (CDP) Lead to lead our go-to-market strategy and lead pre-sales excellence for our CDP solutions. This senior leadership role will position Merkle as the premier CDP partner, working with enterprise clients to architect data-driven customer experience transformations.

Responsibilities

Go-to-Market Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and execute comprehensive GTM strategies for CDP solutions across enterprise segments

  • Lead market positioning and competitive differentiation initiatives for Merkle's CDP offerings

  • Drive thought leadership and market education around CDP best practices and emerging trends

  • Establish strategic partnerships and ecosystem relationships to expand market reach

Pre-Sales Leadership

  • Lead complex pre-sales engagements for enterprise CDP implementations

  • Conduct executive-level presentations and solution architecture sessions with C-suite prospects

  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop compelling proposals and RFP responses

  • Design proof-of-concept demonstrations and pilot program strategies

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with enterprise prospects and existing clients

  • Be a trusted advisor for CDP strategy, implementation, and optimization

  • Lead discovery sessions to understand client data challenges and our goals

  • Guide client workshops and strategic planning sessions

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing CDP pre-sales and solutions team

  • Develop team members in CDP technologies and sales methodologies

  • Foster collaboration across sales, delivery, and product teams

  • Establish best practices and standardized processes for CDP engagements

You will report to SVP.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field; MBA preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in data and analytics, with 5+ years in CDP or marketing technology

  • Experience building and executing successful GTM strategies

  • Pre-sales experience with enterprise B2B technology solutions

  • Experience with CDP platforms (Salesforce, Adobe, Tealium, Segment, etc.)

  • Experience with data integration, identity resolution, and customer journey orchestration

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with C-level executives

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience consulting firms or systems integrators

  • Technical background in data architecture and marketing automation

  • Industry certifications in major CDP platforms

  • Experience driving revenue growth in technology solutions

The annual base salary range for this position is $196,000-$316,250. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
