The Senior Manager, SEO will oversee the daily operations of the SEO team for a global automotive client. The role involves creating and executing SEO strategies to meet client goals, providing strategy, consulting, and guidance. The Senior Manager will manage and mentor junior team members, be accountable for project plans, and ensure timely delivery of SEO projects. This position requires communicating team updates, managing team development, and collaborating with other channels. The Senior Manager will also participate in client interactions, stay updated on search industry trends, and train junior staff on best practices.

Job Description: We welcome remote U.S.-based candidates that can work EST hours We're looking for a Senior Manager, SEO to oversee the daily operations of the SEO team for a global automotive client. Reporting into the Director, you will create and ensure that SEO strategies are carried out to meet client goals and provide strategy, consulting, and guidance. You will also directly manage and coach junior team members in their career development and growth.  You Will:
  • Work with the Director on SEO strategies, and then work directly with the junior team to implement on their clients’ websites

  • Be accountable for the project plan and delivery of all SEO projects to agreed deadlines

  • Have ultimate responsibility for contract execution and reconciliation

  • Communicate account or team updates (escalations/wins) to senior team members

  • Oversee the management and development of the SEO team

  • Help with client interactions, including audits, analysis, and QBRs

  • Partner with other channels across the organization

  • Be the first point of escalation for the SEO team

  • Revamp SEO delivery templates and work to find efficiencies within daily SEO activities

  • Stay updated on search industry trends and train the more junior SEO staff on trends, SEO strategies, and best practices.

You Have:
  • 4+ years’ SEO experience (agency and/or enterprise experience advantageous)

  • 1+ years’ experience as a people manager, including experience developing and mentoring a team

  • Experience working on multiple client websites simultaneously 

  • Experience working in multiple SEO platforms (i.e., BrightEdge, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, STAT, or other comparable tools)

  • Experience collaborating integrating SEO across other marketing/advertising channels

  • A demonstrated understanding of technical SEO and the ability to work with web dev teams on implementing recommendations

  • Proficiency in web analytics with a experience analyzing data for performance trends to create relevant insights and SEO recommendations based on that data; Adobe Analytics and Google Search Console advantageous

  • Experience contributing to and collaborating within diverse team environments, while also being able to evolve to different work styles and needs

  • An all-hands-on-deck mindset that promotes collaboration, values diverse perspectives, and inspires progress toward positive outcomes

  • Experience with project and resource management

  • Experience building and presenting presentations

Additional Information:

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000-$110,400. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
