VP – Data Platforms, Master Data & Governance

We are seeking an experienced and visionary VP to lead our Data Platforms, Master Data & Governance organization. This role is crucial in driving our data technology strategy, overseeing the development and implementation of data systems, and ensuring the successful deployment of Master Data Management strategies and Data Governance frameworks.
They will:
a) Align platform and master data strategies with business goals and drive the data technology vision and adoption(Master Data Management, Data Governance and Platform Engineering) across the organization.
b) Engage with executives and other stakeholders to advocate for data initiatives and secure buy-in with cross functional groups
This position will take a hands-on leadership and development role to continuously drive innovation and automation to modernize the existing data platform and architecture, leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning products where relevant. This highly collaborative and visible role will work across the organization to design and deliver scalable data solutions that enable business analytics, data science, visualization, and reporting.

What You'll Do

• Lead aligning the data strategy with business and ensuring that their teams can effectively translate these requirements for detailed solutions.

• Lead development and delivery of data management, quality and master data management solutions across data acquisition, aggregation, transformation and analytics.

• Manage and optimize core data infrastructure with the broader enterprise data teams and business stakeholders.

• Setting the strategic direction, making high-level platform decisions, and ensuring successful implementation by the teams under their leadership.

• Leads and drives innovation and speed in the technical evaluation and recommendation for platforms/tools that enable the entire data management lifecycle, ingestion, orchestration, data quality master data management, data curation etc.

• Identifies and proposes software development process improvement initiatives for improving velocity and quality

• Must have experience with developing single source of truth data environments, understanding of consumer personalization, using recommendation engine capabilities, such as ML or AI.

• Hire and manage a team of leaders, architects, data governance stewards, data engineers, and data analysts to build data products and solutions

• Must have experience with multi-geography teams, working with offshore and onshore support models

What We're Looking For

• 10 + years of leadership experience, with a BA/BS in Computer Science or Data Science or equivalent work experience

• Experience in Agile SDLC development methodologies

• Experience developing, implementing, and operating data solutions in a hybrid enterprise environment that blends on-prem and cloud data

• Cloud data warehousing tools Snowflake, Azure Athena, GCP Big Query or Azure is a plus

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Qlik or Tableau

• Some understanding of Python and other data coding technologies

• Previous leadership and hands-on experience with Data Warehousing, Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and Integrations

• Experience with implementing data governance tools, and consumer privacy tools is a plus

• Experience in online gaming, content or Media & Entertainment industry is a plus

• Applies effective communication techniques, engages in focused dialogue, and demonstrates good listening skills

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

• Outstanding oral, written and communication skills with the ability to present to small and large groups including Global Executives and deal with unexpected questions and challenges while presenting.

• Excellent and proven program management skills

Pay Range

$246,588 - $457,949 per year

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
