Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force that imagines, designs and brings to life all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions and cruise ships worldwide. This internship, from January 2026 to May/June 2026 in Orlando, FL, involves working within the civil engineering department. The intern will be responsible for civil engineering design and calculation tasks, making decisions within established guidelines, and providing engineering design and analysis for construction contract documents, while coordinating with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams.
Must have:
  • General knowledge of the civil engineering curriculum, with concentration in the areas of grading, hydrology/hydraulics, detention/retention ponds, sanitary and storm sewerage, potable water and utility coordination
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
  • Must be fully available for the duration of the internship

What You Will Do

We are looking for a Civil Engineering intern who will work within the department responsible for civil engineering including design, analysis, calculations and specifications for hydrology/hydraulics, sanitary and storm sewerage, storm water management, water treatment, potable water and other utilities for the site/area development of an individual facility/attraction, land, or theme park project.   • Make decisions within established guidelines and provide, under supervision, engineering design and analysis in support of the production of construction contract documents
  • Communicate across multiple teams including structural, mechanical and electrical engineering teams to facilitate coordination of work

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • General knowledge of the civil engineering curriculum, with concentration in the areas of grading, hydrology/hydraulics, detention/retention ponds, sanitary and storm sewerage, potable water and utility coordination
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active membership in a professional engineering organization
  • Engineer-in-Training certified

Education

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree in Civil Engineering

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $30 per hour for undergraduate students and $35 per hour for graduate level students.
