Job Description

As a 2D HOG Grind Artist at G5 Games, you'll be responsible for creating scenes and backgrounds for hidden object games. Your work will involve developing scene layouts, drawing and integrating search items, collaborating with teams and outsourcing partners, and adhering to a semi-realistic art style. You'll utilize photobash techniques, demonstrating a strong understanding of color, light, atmosphere, perspective, and fundamental art principles (proportions, lighting, form, material characteristics). Proficiency in Photoshop is essential. The role contributes significantly to the visual appeal of successful Match-3 games.
Must have:
  • Mastery of photobash technique

We are currently looking for a 2D HOG Grind Artist  for one of the Match-3 project. You will work with experienced professionals, improve your skills, and contribute to the visual aspect of successful games. If you enjoy and want to be part of a close-knit community of professionals — we’d love to have you on our team!

What You Will Work On:

  • Work on scenes for hidden object games.
  • Develop scene backgrounds.
  • Layout, drawing and fitting search items into scenes.
  • Work in a team and collaborate with outsourcers.
  • Work in the semirealistic style of the project.

What We Expect:

Extensive knowledge necessary to work within the speciality:

  • Mastery of the photobash technique.
  • Understanding of color, light and atmosphere.
  • Understanding of linear and aerial perspective.

Mastery of basic artistic disciplines and tools:

  • Understanding of proportions.
  • General visual art skills: lighting, form, conveying the characteristics of materials, etc.
  • Professional Photoshop skills.

Would Be a Plus:

  • Experience in working with the environment.
  • Experience in photo retouching and color correction.
  • Familiarity with 3D.
