Our department aims to create new value for in-car spaces, such as living room-like comfort, through the development of technologies that enhance in-car quietness. We will transfer the results of advanced development, as shown in the specific examples below, to the product development team and apply them to the development of new and next-generation vehicles.
Examples of specific development content are as follows:
We will develop new materials and propose optimal structures for vehicle bodies and interior/exterior parts, in collaboration with suppliers, to block and reduce noise from powertrains and tires. This includes prototyping and verification.
We will propose and verify optimal e-POWER control that ensures fuel efficiency and acceleration performance while making noise less perceptible to occupants.
We will utilize analysis tools such as NASTRAN and ABAQUS to propose structures for advanced vehicles, and conduct experiments on advanced prototype vehicles for verification.
We will clarify the mechanism of motor excitation force using electromagnetic field analysis and propose the optimal combination of motor and vehicle structure.
We will research and develop active noise control technology to further evolve quietness.
Our team consists of 2 Senior Managers, 2 Assistant Managers, 11 Staff members, plus concurrent positions, handling various noise and vibration development themes. Each member is responsible for one or two themes and proactively drives development with a sense of responsibility. The atmosphere encourages easy consultation with team members when questions arise.
Through this work, you can acquire not only cutting-edge noise and vibration technology but also knowledge of related components, the perspective of customer value in quietness, and knowledge of trade-off performance. As highlighted in our products such as Note, Serena, and X-Trail, quietness is a very clear customer value. You can gain a sense of accomplishment from your work, including evaluating the developed vehicles yourself.
After specializing as an engineer, it is possible to aim for roles leading technology as an expert in the noise and vibration field, or management positions.
In addition to having basic knowledge of vibration, noise, and sound, you must meet one of the following:
Automotive industry experience: Preferred
