Job Summary
Join a well-funded hardware startup in Silicon Valley aiming to reimagine silicon and create transformative computing platforms. You will work with talented engineers to push the boundaries of performance, energy efficiency, and scalability. The role involves developing cutting-edge test generation strategies for validating the performance and functionality of accelerator designs. This includes collaborating with hardware and software teams to build code for generating a wide range of tests that explore the architecture in novel and complex ways. The goal is to enhance the test generation tool's functionality space, determine ideal test vectors, design novel test generation approaches with complex dependencies, profile and tune test generation code, and understand the ISA to debug issues.
Must Have
- Operating Systems or Embedded Software Engineering coursework/experience
- Assembly Language Programming and Computer Architecture coursework/experience
- Fluent in Python
- Experience with C/C++/Rust
- Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and self-motivation
- Ability to work well in a team under aggressive schedules
- Desire to learn new skills and tackle novel problems
Good to Have
- Experience with CUDA, OpenCL, OpenGL, or SYCL
- Compiler Development coursework/experience
- Experience with CI flows and infrastructure

Responsibilities
- Build and improve the functionality space of our test generation tool
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to determine ideal test vectors
- Design and implement novel approaches for generating tests with complex dependencies
- Profile and tune test generation code
- Understand the ISA to help debug issues caught by the tests generated
Requirements
- Coursework or experience in Operating Systems or Embedded Software Engineering
- Coursework or experience with Assembly Language Programming and Computer Architecture
- Fluent in Python
- Experience with C/C++/Rust
