Job Summary

Job Description

The Account Strategist, Engage, at Google Customer Solutions will consult with various advertising companies to find optimal advertising solutions. Responsibilities include meeting quarterly growth goals, building client relationships, conducting consultations and pitches, owning a portfolio of small businesses, understanding growth drivers, managing risks, developing quarterly plans, driving customer growth, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. The role requires fluent English and Norwegian communication to support clients in the Norwegian market. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, digital economy understanding, and the ability to build compelling narratives and influence stakeholders.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent English & Norwegian
  • Google Ads & online advertising knowledge
  • Achieve sales quotas
  • Client relationship management
Good to have:
  • Google Digital Workshop Certification
  • Experience in the Norwegian market
  • Strong storytelling abilities
  • Internal/external stakeholder influence

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Norwegian fluently to support clients in the Norwegian market.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Google Digital Workshop or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Google Ads and online advertising.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Norway and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and business pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
