Job Description

Cerence AI is seeking a Senior Data Scientist specializing in LLMs to innovate in AI for transportation. This role involves designing, implementing, training, and optimizing cutting-edge generative AI models for ASR or TTS applications using LLMs. The scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LLM-based features, enhance existing models for optimal performance on resource-limited platforms, and stay updated with the latest advancements in generative AI, ASR, TTS, and language modeling to continuously improve systems for safer, more connected, and enjoyable journeys.
Must Have:
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions using Deep Learning techniques, with a focus on integrating Large Language Models.
  • Advanced degree in computer science, computational linguistics, or a related field.
  • Highly proficient in Python and Deep Learning frameworks such as Tensorflow or PyTorch.
  • Experience with training and fine-tuning large language models using large-scale datasets and distributed computing environments.

Your Impact

  • Leverage your expertise to effectively train, fine-tune, and optimize Large Language Models (LLMs) to achieve optimal accuracy, naturalness, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other AI researchers and engineers, to seamlessly integrate LLM-based features and functionalities.
  • Design and implement software components and modules to integrate LLM capabilities into Cerence AI's speech recognition and natural language understanding systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of LLM-based features to ensure high performance, reliability, and robustness in real-world scenarios.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements, trends, and research in AI and natural language processing (NLP) technologies to enhance the overall performance of our systems continually.

What You Bring

  • You have demonstrated expertise in creating Natural Language Processing (NLP) solutions using Deep Learning techniques, with a focus on integrating Large Language Models.
  • You have an advanced degree in computer science, computational linguistics, or a related field.
  • You are highly proficient in Python and Deep Learning frameworks such as Tensorflow or PyTorch.
  • You have experience with training and fine-tuning large language models using large-scale datasets and distributed computing environments.
  • You possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within our fast-paced and innovative environment.
