The Account Supervisor (AS) is the primary contact for both the day-to-day project work and strategic leadership on the Account Management team. This role is evenly divided between strategic and project management and requires being a nimble, self-starter with a passion for the work of the agency and the client’s business. Successful Account Supervisors manage relationships at all levels, represent the agency vision to key stakeholders, and continuously work to identify opportunities for moving the client and agency business forward.
Must have:
  • Ensure agency’s work is high quality, on time, and on budget.
  • Accountable for project leveling and ensuring initiatives support brand strategy.
  • Elevate issues and opportunities to Account Director as needed.
  • Foster and manage relationships with various departments.
  • Anticipate and resolve internal team and client issues.
  • Collaborate to develop and deliver effective presentations.
  • Consistently evaluate creative, media, and integrated deliverables based on strategy.
  • Establish Client’s confidence by knowing objective and status of activities.
  • Responsible for workflow across all campaigns and projects.
  • Lead all meetings, setting expectations for deliverables and next steps.
  • Partner with Account Director to develop SOW and budget projections.
  • Manage SOW, track budgets, monitor team hours, and account profitability.
  • Identify account growth opportunities and future income streams.
  • Manage distribution of team communication.
  • Develop and grow junior team members.
  • Become expert on clients’ business and maintain strong knowledge of category and trends.

OVERVIEW

The Account Supervisor (AS) is the primary contact for both the day-to-day project work and strategic leadership on the Account Management team. This role is evenly divided between strategic and project management and requires being a nimble, self-starter with a passion for the work of the agency and the client’s business. Successful Account Supervisors manage relationships at all levels, represent the agency vision to key stakeholders, and continuously work to identify opportunities for moving the client and agency business forward.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the agency’s work is a reflection of our integrated expertise and is executed to the highest level of quality – on time and on budget.
  • Accountable for being aware of and involved in project leveling and ensuring that all initiatives support brand and overall strategy; briefs, POVs, creative, media plans, etc. with little to zero oversight
  • Elevate issues and opportunities to Account Director as needed
  • Foster and manage all relationships maintaining contact and building rapport with various departments
  • Anticipate and resolve internal team and client issues as they are identified and utilize the support of the leadership team as needed
  • Collaborate with agency team to develop and deliver effective presentations
  • Be able to consistently evaluate creative, media and integrated deliverables based on strategy/Client needs
  • Establish Client’s confidence by knowing the objective and status of every Client related activity, even those that have been delegated.
  • Responsible for workflow across all campaigns and projects
  • Lead all meetings, setting expectations for key deliverables, team roles and next steps
  • Partner with Account Director and Senior Management to develop SOW and yearly budget and income projections
  • Play an active role in managing SOW, tracking budgets, monitoring team hours and account profitability
  • Identify account growth opportunities and future income streams
  • Manage distribution of team communication from junior team members to Account Director
  • Develop and grow junior team members by ensuring goals and expectations are being set and met on an ongoing basis
  • Become expert on clients’ business and maintain strong knowledge of category and emerging trends and technology by staying three steps ahead.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-8 years of agency or digital marketing experience
  • Proven experience with cross-platform measurement
  • Strong understanding of integrated media and what’s needed for effective outputs and collaboration across creative, media and analytics
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven expertise in traditional and emerging channels to effectively lead campaigns from brief development to production
  • Ability to inspire confidence and growth in agency and client team members
  • Acts with authority in all situations and sets tone for the team
  • Supervise and develop team members from daily project management and oversight through yearly development and reviews
  • Strong understanding of all agency disciplines
  • Exhibits strategic thinking with ease and has mastered the evolution from “how should I do it” to “here’s how I think it should be done and why”
  • Gets involved in agency initiatives, seeking new development opportunities
  • Strives to understand and self-educate on various disciplines to provide thoughtful insight and analysis
  • Functional knowledge of media planning and buying principles (both emerging and traditional)
  • Proven ability to think on your feet when presented with obstacles to initial plan
  • Earned confidence from integrated team and proven that you are a strategic thinker and can influence the client
  • Ability to fluidly respond to various personality types, assess information gaps, and provide appropriate response
  • Solutions focused
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, Mac Computers, Google Suite, Teams, etc.
