Job Description

The Accounting Operations Leader will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting for SLP long-term contracts and External Customer Billing for the Global Services Organization in US, Mexico, and Chile. This role focuses on continuous improvement in contractual obligations and billing processes from a financial perspective. As a key member of the Freight Services team, the leader will assist the Commercial Finance Manager with financial estimation, reporting, and analytics, communicating financial figures and drivers across regions and segments, and participating in operational reviews, closing, and budgeting.

Must Have:
  • Responsible for Billing Execution for External Customer Mexico, US & Chile across different Legal Entities
  • Responsible for preparing monthly/quarterly cash figures and assisting in monthly/quarterly close/reporting requirements
  • Identify key drivers for variances to plan and forecast
  • Partner with Freight Services finance team for operational reviews, risks & opportunities (R&O), and variance analysis on CFOA, FCF, and Billing Execution
  • Partner with Operation Services team for operational reviews, risks & opportunities (R&O), and variance analysis on CFOA and FCF
  • Support Freight Services planning cycles including blueprints, STRAP, and budget
  • Identify process improvement for billing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial position

Role Summary/Purpose:

Accounting Operations Leader will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting financial performance of the SLP long term contracts & External Customer Billing for Global Services Organization in US, Mexico & Chile. Will also focus in continuous improvement across contractual obligations and billing process from financial perspective. The Accounting Operations Leader will be a key member of the Freight Services team. The Accounting Operations Leader will support the Freight Services Commercial Finance Manager by providing standard financial estimation, reporting, and analytics. This is a critical role to communicate with the different regions and segments on EBIT CFOA and billing Execution related financial figures & drivers, and will be involved in periodical operation mechanism, including operational review, closing & budgeting.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Billing Execution for External Customer Mexico, US & Chile across different Legal Entities.
  • Responsible for preparing the monthly / quarterly cash figures and assist in monthly/quarterly close / reporting requirements
  • Identify the key drivers for variances to plan and forecast
  • Partner with the Freight Services finance team to prepare operational reviews, risks & opportunities (R&O), and variance analysis on CFOA and FCF and Billing Execution.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited university or college. Accounting or Finance is desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial position
  • Spoken English
