Job Summary

They influence execution plans using strong interpersonal skills and proactively resolve conflicts between finance and non-finance functions, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously with a focus on risk-based approaches and creative solutions.
Must Have
- Lead accounting process workstreams (exploration, execution, problem-solving).
- Identify and mitigate finance-related risks with cross-functional teams.

- 8-10 years of relevant experience in controllership, accounting & financial audits/advisory.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Chartered Accountant qualification.
- Prior experience in financial audit (BIG4).
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Deep technical knowledge of accounting rules, tax, and transfer pricing.
- Strong business acumen and detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage high-stakes financial processes.
- Oversee accounting processes, GAAP conversion, and ledger maintenance.
- Support tax reporting, audit, and statutory compliance.
- Manage SAP tax ledgers and prepare/review tax returns.
- Contribute to Pillar II legislation and S4Hana implementation.

Job Summary:
This job drives accounting activities. You’ll lead multiple process workstreams through exploration, gap analysis, integration planning, execution, and problem-solving. Additionally, you’ll identify finance-related risks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate them, discuss finance and accounting concepts across the organization, and influence execution of plans through strong interpersonal skills. You’ll also proactively engage in resolving potential conflicts between Finance and non-Finance functions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead several process workstreams through explorations, gap analysis, integration planning, execution, and problem solving
- Identify finance-related risks and partner with cross-functional teams to mitigate the identified risks
- Discuss finance/accounting concepts with others across the organization
- Lead and drive execution of plans and influence where you do not have direct authority through strong interpersonal skills
- Proactively engage, evaluate, and drive resolution of potential conflicts between various Finance and non-Finance functions
- Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Work collaboratively with workstream leads and subject matter experts to arrive at risk-based approaches related to tactical execution steps
- Comfort with problem solving and creative solutioning
Expected Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Using local Gaap TB’s & the tax Prov template, the Tax Accountant Manager will assist in the calculation of the local tax provision charge
- Tax Accounting Manager will provide leadership and guidance to all team members ensuring timelines are adhered to in a timely manner
- Where the Tax Provision calculation is outsourced (EY/Deloitte), work with BPO to provide all deliverables and conduct first review.
- Build models to calculate the US tax charge for following year.
- Tax accounting manager will provide guidance and training to the tax accountant to ensure adequate and timely recording of all Quarterly accruals in SAP.
- Tax Accounting manager will partner with the internal tax compliance team and the outsourced tax advisory team to provide Corporate Income Tax Return calculation (CIT) support.
- Provide a linked file for the PayPal tax advisory team's review.
- Perform first review & approve CIT return, prior to handover to tax team.
- Record final CIT true ups in SAP.
- Manage and reconcile SAP tax ledgers to local Gaap TBs (P&L and BS)
- Provide support to the tax advisory team as required.
- Provide local Tax Audit Support and general data sourcing for tax requests.
- Assist Controllership with tax audit deliverables for both Financial Statements and Audits.
- Prepare tax statistical returns across all markets.
- Review and approve tax statistical returns.
- Pillar II support, facilitation and accounting.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and team support.
- Leveraging a solid understanding of accounting rules to provide timely, accurate, and standardized local GAAP - Financial Statement or Local GAAP TB for Branches
- Oversee accounting processes and work with internal teams and external providers on the GAAP-to-GAAP conversion, Tax returns etc
- Maintain local GAAP ledgers
- Meet statutory requirements for and participate on the preparation and filling of Tax Returns and other tax related returns as necessary
- Support EMEA Tax reporting team on the Tax returns process
- Prepare reconciliations between local GAAP and IFRS
- Works independently to research, track and timely resolve outstanding queries related to GAAP conversion and tax calculations
- Liaises across various functions to effectively communicate inquiries
- Responding to audit inquiries (external auditors and tax authorities)
- Support the organization to meet local and global corporate tax obligations
- Support US Tax reporting team on tax provisioning
- Work with internal teams and external advisors on the Pillar 2 legislation and the impacts of this on our global entities
- Build out the accounting support for Pillar 2 globally
- Work with teams on the collection of data points for input into calculation
- Work with project team on the implementation of S4Hana

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university
- Working knowledge in tax and transfer pricing including experience of corporate tax within a multinational setting would be beneficial
- Chartered Accountant qualification is a pre-requisite
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in controllership, accounting & financial audits/advisory
- Prior experience in financial audit (BIG4)
- Excellent analytical skills — able to interpret data, challenge assumptions, and provide actionable insights.
