Overview:
Job level: Associate
Reporting line: Ben Topley (HQ Finance Manager)
Employment type: Part-time – 3 days a week
Role mission: To ensure the smooth running of HQ transactional finance processes, including accounts payable, payment runs, expenses and reconciliations. This role will provide the foundation for accurate reporting and strong cash management.
How is success defined in this role?
- Processing AR/AP transactions accurately and on time
- Delivering clean ledgers with no material reconciling items
- Running efficient weekly payments
- Ensuring suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders have a positive experience
What you’ll do:
Key deliverables:
- Processing supplier invoices, checking details for accuracy
- Supporting regular payment runs
- Raising and sending sales invoices to customers and platforms
- Track payments and follow up on overdue balances
- Accurately entering data into our finance systems
- Assisting in bank and credit card reconciliations
- Helping with filing, document management, and general finance admin
- Supporting the team with month-end tasks (e.g., checking transactions, preparing simple reports)

- Supporting HQ month-end close
What we’re looking for from you:
- Previous experience in a finance/accounts assistant or transactional finance role (AP/AR)
- Familiarity with ERP and expense management systems (NetSuite and SAP Concur are a bonus).
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Highly accurate with strong attention to detail.
- Organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communicator with both internal colleagues and external partners.
What can you expect during the Interview Process:
For the Accounts Assistant role, there will be an initial screening call with Jess Pearce, People Partner, then we plan to have 2 stages of interviews, below we have outlined what you can expect from each:
Stage 1: For the first stage, you’ll meet with Ben Topley, Finance Manager and Yuhan Zhou, Management Accountant for a competency based interview where the team will explore your skills and experience, whilst providing more information about the role.
Stage 2: [In person if possible] This stage will be broken into two parts – you'll have a 30-minute interview with Ben Topley, Finance Manager and Dhuv Arumuganesan, Senior Finance Director to dive deeper into your experience to date. You’ll then meet with 2 people from outside the finance team for a 30-minute values based interview to explore values alignment.
Please be aware that there may be some slight changes to the interview teams and order of interviews depending on availability; we will give you full details with ample time ahead of each conversation.
